Why is enhancment sham the only class that runs out of mana? I have been getting killed in pvp because I keep running out of mana and can’t heal or attack due to being out of mana? This plus such a piss poor design why is it a thing? I can’t get through a fight with out going OOM.
Arcane mage also goes oom too if they aren’t careful.
The weird thing is other hybrids not having similar limitations.
Like, take WoG - why doesn’t this cost a ret pally mana or have a CD or something? Being able to spam huge heals (bigger than 5 MSW healing surges) every 3 holy power indefinitely seems kind of insane.
Given how strong healing is I get putting a mana cap on it but then shouldn’t all hybrids that can throw off strong HPS off-heals have these kind of limitations? What’s the logic for just doing it to shaman?

The mana cost of the our heals should go down per maelstrom spent with 5 stacks being a mana-free heal.

YES! Or at least 10% per stack for half price. But I’d prefer it to be free.
I think free would be a little too strong given the strength of self heals atm, but a higher mana Regen rate rate seems in order.
right now, your mana Is basically perma gone once it’s used up.
Yea I can’t survive s fight with any other class that takes more then 4 heals from me, once I have to survive something I’m done and locked out of everything and standing there looking like an idiot.
Put primal wisdom back into our kit.
Personally i think Enhancement should get a leech effect instead of self heals. Blizzard always messes this up with us.
Here’s what I don’t get, we have chain heal and we never use because it’s far inferior to healing surge.
MSW should effect Chain Heal and Healing surge differently. Each stack of MSW should reduce the Mana cost of HS by 10% and the Mana cost of Chain Heal by 20%. Effectively this would make Chain heal like a WOG although because it’s an aoe heal it would heal less than HS. This gives us more healing options when Mana is low and adds to our utility.
Even if the suggestion above isn’t implemented, Mana regen increase and MSW stacks Mana cost reduction both need to be implemented.
I used chain heal when my group in ghe dungeon i was in had half their hp missing. So it is useful to help with heals for your group. Sure you lose some dps but to help your team its worth it.
i think it all has to do with baseline abilities. holy power is baseline with paladin specs now, maelstrom is not. healing surge is baseline so it needs a baseline resource which is mana for shamans. anyway i think the devs got rushed so they ditched the flumination mechanic and this mana regen issue is probably an oversight.
The problem with chain heal is that it is still nerfed to 65% whereas healing surge is 100%. So, healing surge throughput per cast is similar to chain heal, just focused on one target instead of spread out. And healing surge is cheaper and quicker to hard cast.
So, I’m actually considering just taking chain heal off my bars, because I’m not sure it’s really ever worth using.
If noone needs a big heal, then just dps, and if you really need to off-heal, then probably better to pop off big heals on the most injured then little heals on a few people. Similar total healing, faster cast time if hard casting, and less mana.
They need to make chain heal 100% baseline like healing surge in order to make it useful. As is, it goes in the bucket with primal strike and flametongue for ele/resto as a pointless unpruning.
It’s too bad. I was excited to see chain heal added back for enhance and was looking forward to using it. But the tuning on it is just terrible right now.
You have to carry around one of them there mana potions it’s about 6 extra instant heals yah hear!
