Just terrible. What absolutely terrible design. This isn’t fun. This isn’t skillful. It’s like ‘The crowd choses you’ buff. I can’t wait to see 2400 blood dk / prot pali again.
Absolute garbage change.

Just played an arena where i sat there oom. Couldnt drink because monk could always stop me. Stupid hotfix. You joke of a company. Take my unsub as a big Fu
Yes, this change sadly doesnt promote skill plays. Druid has always been the easiest class to get drinks, now they still remain op due to that. Pvp is absolutely disgusting and unenjoyable as a healer now.
You get punished mana wise, to use cc. Nice
They should just revert all those changes except for maybe the nourish one.
That’s what it seemed to boil down to. Monks and druids with high mobility getting away for drinks. Even better if they have a pet class on their team to keep the other healer in combat.
Quite a few of the teams I faced just ran even more. Just kiting around until dampening builds up even more. It’s hilarious as a healer. Not only do I go oom in a minutes, my healing barely does anything. If they want healers going oom, they should remove dampening and make the regen 0.
Prot pally blood you say? Calls his teammates “Get online, we have a meta to ruin!”
Can 2 tanks actually queue together?
That’s a good question. Can’t say I’ve ever tried it and can’t remember if I’ve seen it before.
They could also removed dampening with those mana changes.
Please don’t… games would last for a week without dampening. Imagine an arena match being as long as vanilla AV?
I’d take a 3 min game any day over the 45 minute time out -18 from both teams from wotlk.
Sounds boring AF. 3 minute games? 45 minute games in 3s were extremely rare. I had a few in 2s, but even those were mostly playing affl/heals.
This decision feels like “we really just want to get rid of healers altogether but can’t, so we’ll make them go OOM in 2 minutes instead.”
The new generation WoW millennials are ruining the game with their whining about wanting 3 minute games.Personally I enjoy the long games, ofc I don’t mind short games too, but strictly turning the game into only short games is a horrid idea. This mana regen nerf really does open a decent opportunity for dampening to be completely removed from the game though, which I do approve of because I never liked dampening ever since it came out.
Short games are completely fine. Plenty of ways to make games short. There should be specs that are defensive and be good on long games. Likewise, there should be specs that are good in the short game. Forcing every spec to be viable in the short game is just bad. Dampening has been at terrible bandaid. Bad players constantly asking for nerfs to burst is what put us here. Instead of trading offensives and defensives, we just slowly rot away. W/E healer has the most efficient spec or best out put just wins out right.
People are not used to have to manage their mana like the first 3-4 expansion, where healers never had infinite mana. People will get used to it. IMHO 2v2 healer-dps vs healer-dps wasn’t fun either, way too long and double dps was almost unviable which was an issue.
This was not the fix. This style of play in not fun. Getting use to what? If it taste like s…t why would you keep eating it…
The issue is, the disparity between healers right now is exasperated by this design. If healers were all ooming at the same rate, then sure, this makes sense. That’s clearly not the case currently though. Also, some healing specs can drink far more easily then others. Druids are not only the most mobile, but they also can hot targets up before stepping away to drink. Priests and palis don’t have that option.
So then what, take drinking away? People would lose their minds over that. So it just leaves some healing specs at a disadvantage.
Even getting drinks in means nothing really especially in 2’s. Burst damage from the opposing team will take care of that mana bar in no time. Comp is even a bigger issue now than it was.
