My 3 last chars, level 28, 24 and now just 25. All DC. First and third were due to error #132 which apparently is mostly because of addons, so I played without addon’s for the 2nd and 3rd. The second, was my ISP (Comcast) had an outtage in my area.
I… Just can’t do it again. That’s days and days of my life gone. I wasn’t being “bad” I wasn’t doing anything risky or swimming or autowalking and not paying attention. I died due to something I have absolutely no control over.
Good luck all, I am done.

You mocked the gods with that name.
They made you cry.

ouch, that sucks! Well if you had “fun” while you were playing, is that really wasted time from your life? Plus, if you really loved your character, you could move it off to one of those non-hardcore realms.
I lost my hunter that was only level 18 but i had super high cooking/fishing and other abilities so i opted to move it to mankeksomething realm. Granted, i probably wont play it since the hunter died already and now I have a “new” hunter which just hit level 16 and again very high cooking and fishing.
Soon we will be playing classic legion+ with demon hunters, so this is all just temp fodder until than
side note, maybe we can see one of the lawyer commericals saying, did you die in hardcore wow and it wasnt your fault?! give us a call now and get the ingame gold you rightfully deserve!
Protip: Those days of your life were already gone, you spent them doing something you enjoyed, the character was never going to be permanent. If you’re bent out of shape about losing it or you don’t enjoy the leveling process itself then you should not be on hardcore.
And if your internet is that bad you just can’t play hardcore game modes in any game. Life isn’t fair, that’s just how it is.

When I think about how much time I’ve spent playing video games, it’s a lot more than days and days.

Death to dc is definitely frustrating, sure.
I mean if it helps you could always put your initials in next to a high score list you make for yourself before you put another 25 cents in.
Walking away from the game when frustrated is always a good choice though.

Died at 57 and 41 to Error 132. On my 3rd attempt now with Windows reinstalled, zero addons, etc.
5950x 3090 64gb etc. PC can handle every game and every stress test, but apparently not WoW. We’ll see how this run goes.
For real though, Blizzard should offer a paid appeal service for those who have errors (they can see it on their side as well so I don’t think it could be abused). Would have to be error though otherwise people could plug pull for DC. I know it sucks, but I woulda paid for my characters.
Hardcore ain’t for you. You literally want to destroy Hardcore.

No kidding. I did a /played on all my characters (that hadn’t been deleted) a few years ago. Let’s just say it was A LOT.
But I had fun so it’s all good.

You know what gets me? I had 2 error 132’s in a safe spot a few days before my last death, and it deleted my conjured food/water… So it knew there was a disconnect for that purpose
I feel like there should eventually come a time where you just accept your ISP isn’t reliable enough for you to be playing hc and just move on to another game. Not being judgmental or trying to tell you how to live your life, but if my connection was unreliable or my game crashed a lot, I’d just not bother with hc.
No idea what you’re talking about. When people make bad decisions they should die, not due to disconnects or errors with the game. Destroying hardcore is everyone who spams petri flask every time they make a bad decision.
I’ve been lucky enough to not have a single disconnect happen so far. Reading that some people die during a flightpath glitch is super scary though. Also, those who fall through any of the elevators out there…
I doubt it would deter me, but still could be extremely annoying.
It’s about the journey and the enjoyment in the moment, but obviously 3 dc deaths in row sucks
My old original retail main, created in 2005.
Haven’t touched that character in years.
May as well be deleted.
Is it “days and days” of my life gone?
No, it was good times.
See the point?
NGL 3x deaths from DC could be disheartening.
Hopefully you stashed some supplies/gold on a bank alt to go again.
Did you have fun in those days? Is that not why people play a game?
These threads never cease to amaze me. Does no one find joy in the experience of just playing the game?
