Man, sounds like Alliance is losing the war on every server

Also it’s going to be funny when geard PVE realm allies be farming horde in wsg GY

The problem with this is that in the time you are waiting for bgs to become a thing, Horde is out there gearing up in raids. So Horde will have a major gear advantage at that point.

Dont get why horde would have a gear advantage because of pve over alliance?

Our guild do our weekly onyxia/MC and we dont have any trouble getting there as we move as a 40man deathball on our way there.

On your server, maybe not. Or maybe certain types of guilds on certain types of servers.

But people who are taking time off from playing aren’t going to be gearing up. And people who hadn’t quite reached level 60 aren’t gearing up in raids with guilds that were almost ready for raiding.

Why any Alliance would choose a PVP server knowing the 15 year history of near total domination of the Horde in PVP is…laughable I guess. Have you all learned nothing? And no, I am not blaming the Alliance. It is Blizzard’s job to make both factions equally appealing in PVP and they failed miserably. Still, come on, 15 years and some Ally thought it would be somehow different?

Its a good thing bgs will be xrealmed because man some of these servers would have some insane que times.

BS. Alliance racial abilities aren’t why they are bad.

Perception obliterates rogues, as does stone form which is fantastic for vanishing, escape artist is amazing, shadow meld is awesome for pvp and allows really creative ambushes.

25% stun resist is legit, but you have Paladins which are absolutely insane pvp healers / support. Groups with Paladins are also impossible to run away from in the world.

Well then maybe you can explain the near 15 year domination of Horde over Ally in PVP? If not racials, what is it? I agree it is not all racials by any means, but Blizzard has clearly not succeeded in making both factions equally appealing to PVPers.

It is player mindset

Was it a player mindset in WoD when Alliance clearly had the best racial in EMFH and almost everyone on the arena ladder was a human xxx? When the Alliance had that racial and were winning a solid majority of BG’s? What was the mindset then? Wasn’t it simply people going to where the best racials/chance to win was? Once that got nerfed things mostly returned to the Horde dominate PVP status quo.

No changes…how long was it till phase 2 released after wow launched?

First, arena is different than other forms of pvp, second, that racial is not in the game and is therefore irrelevant.

The point is really simple. People who take PVP most seriously tend to play Horde. The question is why. Sure, there are a lot of reasons, but racials clearly effect which side people choose. There has always been a perception that Horde racials are more offensive and just better. After 15 years of almost uninterrupted Horde PVP domination, there is now just a belief that if you want to win at PVP you go Horde. That is a Blizzard problem, they create the game and they are responsible for making the factions equally appealing to all mindsets - or at least as close as possible.

Nothing can be done for Classic as it is what it is, but I think any Alliance that rolled on PVP servers are mostly fools if they thought things would be any different. The track record is clear, roll Horde for PVP.

FYI, it is impossible for either side to win or lose the “war” because no matter how many times you kill a player he will always respawn, good as new.

Weird, i dont remember the layers we all enjoyed on our journey to 60 being a part of vanilla. I dont remember server caps 4 to 10 times what they were in vanilla. Mining nodes that spawn at twice their vanilla rates.

There have been plenty of changes that are not original to vanilla, which you have benefited from. #nochanges is a farce that never existed.

many people did not enjoy layering being in the game.

And yet, it was there, and you benefited from it. Again, nochanges never existed.

actually i wouldn’t say we benefited from it at all. it impacted world pvp and the economy, and neither for the better.

You did benefit from it - more resource nodes, more quest mobs to go around, faster leveling pace. You can deny it all you like, but thats the reality.

Keep in mind that the 300 lost- and also that the only reason they did so well was because each of them was worth about 1000 of the enemy.

So unless you’re suggesting that players who go Alliance are upwards of 10x more skilled than players who go Horde (and while Alliance players are fairly clearly better than Horde players, I think that’s a pretty big stretch), it’s not a winnable ratio on most servers.

Players are not going to go to servers where they’re outnumbered- Alliance and Horde alike- because most players would prefer to use numbers to make up for skill. That’s why you don’t see many Horde xfering to Alliance dominant servers like HS, or Alliance rolling on H-dom servers like most of the servers.

Most Vanilla wow/pserver players are cowards that can’t handle balanced pvp, that’s what we’ve found out here.
