I messed around a little with ret and prot and yeah, its pretty damn fun now. I gotta get those levels going before blizz nerfs them into oblivion because people are playing them…

There’s so many inexperienced Ret players jumping on the bandwagon in PvP right now. They thought it was going to be an instant “I Win” button, but to most they’re just cannon fodder. Experienced Rets who know how to play them have done quite well though.

The average 1400 ret player, per metric, has gained over 400 rating in the last week. The Rets stuck around 1.7k are over 2.4k atm.
Ret win rate is over 78% atm. The highest in the game by a huge margin.
It’s too much. Needs to be drastically reduced.

That would be the more experienced ones. You should have seen battlegrounds last week. I was shocked at the amount of times Rets either died, or ran away from me. Had I been on a DK or Warrior, ok, but a Holy Priest? They should have destroyed me. That can only be bandwagon players.
I think you may have been fighting “totally human beings”. BG’s are drowning in “totally real human beings”…
I wouldn’t consider 1400’s bracket “experienced” players, considering you’re hard pressed to lose rating before 1.2k
I hit the dummies a bit on my old ret main and it feels great. The play style is super fun. It is always really strong. I’m hoping the dev team cause make more classes as smooth as ret is now.

I’ve kind of wanted something like this iteration since I started playing. It’s more fluid even if I don’t play it optimally… it’s flashy,… and it can go hard.
Feels good all around and finally want to play more of my Ret Pally.

Judgment hitting five enemies has made mount and transmog farming so much easier. Six second horse speed at 100%, times two? Yes please.
