One thing that keeps me off playing an alt shaman (used to be main) is the disgusting and ugly model of Ascendance.
It can’t be that hard to change the visual of it???
I dunno make our models somewhat transparent overflowing with all 4 elements or if Ascendance is like lightning or fire oriented or whatever then keep that element or make it random? Levitate a bit?
Anything OVER this sea looking creature that has 0% connection in looks to the class and fantasy. Atrocious.
That visual is long overdue for an update and it looks sad at this point

If they arent going to make a new model for the ascendance form they should at least consider using the Legion Shaman mount models ( those really neat elements ). Strip the armor off them and make them a bit smaller though.
Shaman Players: Blizz, please give us a new Ascendance model, it looks outdated and atrocious.

TBF, the art team knocks expectations out of the park every time they are given the chance. Nah, it wouldn’t necessarily be easy with clipping amongst the other things they must deal with (idk). Consistently fitting a blood-lusted tauren through a door is already a bit tough.
Druids
I would look at the favored master of forms, druids, and just try to hold all these examples.

There’s basically a new animal form released every patch. Even one from (pulls one from behind Tindral’s feathery Ear) oh look a drop from a boss.
Having done Kor’kron Dark Shaman to get the transmog appearance when it was new, we know that getting things from a boss can be hotly anticipated and exciting.
Gosh, still imagining Dathea like a long lost love opportunity.
Most shaman players are still “can the class be functioning please”
That will always trump an ascendance model.

The class consistently functions, if you are talking about tuning then that’s a different matter, and to be frank, Blizzard has proven they can both tune and change art assets. No reason to down play a long requested change. I don’t understand this strawman mindset. People who say this have decided it’s one or the other, with no reason for it.

Dude, the class consistently functions, one month of bugs in pre-patch and broken talents in beta does not make it the norm. Also, fixes have been in beta for a while now and they are about to go live tomorrow.
As for the rest of your stuff, alright, pretend like you were not downplaying it by saying
Which is a strawman. You have nothing to back that up, it does consistently function, you are saying this to dismiss these over abundance of Ascendance threads, which by it’s nature heavily suggests you are wrong about what most shaman players want since these are so prevalent.
If they would just update the model or give the glyph they already have in the game back, the threads would stop. Unfortunately for you, this will keep going until they do.
The people who work on tuning and mechanics aren’t even the same people who work on art assets. So I’m not sure what that has to do with anything.
Keep the Ascendance threads raining. It’s 14 years old FfS and NEVER looked good in the first place. If people are making multiple threads about it, let them. It’s ridiculous how long the art assets for this class have been neglected.
