You still have it Blizz, and I’d love to see more of this personally! But also in the game somehow and done very well. Also Jaina’s Warbringer short was insanely good!
The wow movie should not have been a movie. It should have been a tv series like Arcane.
Yeah that could have been a lot more fun
it would have been 50/50 if we would get the ending to it and not be a cliff hanger and shelved
It’s sad but I don’t think we will ever see that level of talent again. The old are leaving and the new just don’t have it.
It used to be World of WARcraft, now it’s all flower weapons and “love”.
Very very good as well! Love that cinematic and have rewatched it numerous times.
Are we calling BfA and Warlords expansions good? Or are we just talking about cinematics?
Clearly you have superior taste compared to the rest of us.
I liked BfA but I’m mostly focusing on the cinematics here, though BfA had a LOT of great work done on it.
I still lose it at the siege tower cannon-fart-catapult-yowl, and everytime Saurfang screams.
I was not expecting WoD, LotV and the movie when I saw a thread about old Blizzard.
LotV’s campaign is pretty bad. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a Blizzard cinematic, though.
I mean, there is only so long and so many stories they can do to legit drag out a horde vs alliance hate and considering we almost always end up working together, it didn’t make sense to keep the faction tension going. Besides, imo, the war always seemed like it was horde/alliance vs whatever big bad we were fighting as a result, and the faction war was just secondary to whatever actual obstacle we were facing.
There is definitely plenty of war in WoW, but Dragonflight was intended to be about exploring/starting to get back to roots. Whether or not people feel like they failed at that is personal opinion, I think. But there was still war.
They’re just going on about how their honeymoon snippet of wow was peak and that it’ll never be as good even if it actually is and the honeymoon phase just wore off.
This sounds like a future expansion.
The war within 2.
More or less each player gets to decided if they want to join the version of the horde that hates humans or join the group which understand the need to work with humans. Once this decision is made then the ones that want to work together constantly battle the 2 factions that don’t.
There will be three factions.
The Allies
The new horde.
The new world order.
The new horde hates the Allies and the new world order.
The new world order hates the new horde and the Allies
The Allies don’t hate the new horde or the new world order but have to defend themselves and understand sometimes that lead to war
The expansion could end with the Allies killing off both of the other factions which then all players that selected the new horde or the new world order would have to reroll if they wanted to continue playing
Sounds cool, but to complex for the devs ngl.
I would personally call BfA a decent expansion, not great, but it started out hot in my opinion…but here it was just about the cinematic. I think that’s one of the best ones there has been.
What level of quality are we looking for?
Story telling?
Cinematic?
Raids?
Dungeons?
Expansion features?
I mean for me I’d take all the above. I know though that it is extremely difficult for a dev team to come together and hit all the notes just right, or enough of them. God of War imo is one such game from 2018, just so good all around imo.
