Alexstrasza works against Draconic and Titan interests by furthering the enabling of mortal races to abuse their power over magic. Almost all of the conflicts on Azeroth in some way or another were caused or prolonged by mortal incompetence and lust for power. The stripping of the mortal races of this weapon would serve only to further keep the peace on Azeroth, as the dragon race is charged with doing, and would further streamline the draconic’s ability to fight off threats to Azeroth via hoarding high concentrations of magic power.
Malygos was right, and killing him was tantamount to killing Azeroth! It’s the path you chose.

Yeah, this definitely would’ve helped to fight Nzoth, Sargeras, the Jailer.
I’m pretty sure Malygos would’ve handled it himself.

Sargeras, whose invasions were enabled by Azhara’s greed, Illidan’s lack of vision, and Gul’dan’s scheming?
The Jailer, whose escape happened due to Sylvanas?
No, Malygos alone would not have handled these issues. The aspects and their armies would have. And with the magic power of Azeroth centralized within them, instead of these naive mortal races enabling these problems in the first place, yes they would have swiftly curbed these issues.

Malygos was driven mad by his bestfriend nearly wiping his flight out and the root cause was mortals of dalaran flinging spells around to do tedious tasks every moment of every day. To say all mortals were to blame is a bit of a stretch BEs put up a dome to shield their use. Also maygos reaction was the same a parent would had walking into their basement and finding a dope den in full swing think Red from 70s show.
