There has been a number of players that took names that they knew prominent members of the community would use.
They made multiple level 1 characters to hold those names forever.
Why are we permitting this behavior? Those names should be removed and released so someone could actually make use of them.
And to be clear, I know exactly who the specific players are in this situation and I know they don’t even play SoD. They took the names and have no characters over level 1.
If a ticket is submitted to obtain those name, that should be honored in a situation such as this.
Note: This does not impact me whatsoever, this is about other players in the community.
literally nobody cares about your alts names, nobody knows you. This is not a forums issue

Any “prominent” player with a large enough twitch audience will be recognized regardless of their ingame name because people are watching the stream and following them around like mindless apes.

I pissed off some loser in the Hunter Discord awhile back. He got banned, but not before saying he’d grief me in-game. I just laughed and didn’t think anything of it.
Then HC WoW came along and suddenly I am no longer able to reserve my main name I have used for everything for the past 10 years. Then I tried another server. And another. And another.
This dude literally went through the entire server list and made a character with my username on every single one.
SoD comes around, same story.
The pretty much unlimited character per server change they made awhile back had some not so great negative side effects.
I mean, it isn’t that annoying. I just add a random character to replace it and go on my merry way. It’s just more so crazy to think about the lengths people will go because they got proven wrong anonymously and couldn’t handle it.

Out of the 6 names, 1 streams to 2 viewers occasionally lol.
I would share their names but that’s not happening.
Having Blizzard stand by those griefing the naming system is laughably pathetic. Lets support people here to ruin the game for others, not those who legitimately wish to play. Sound good. Idiots.
one time my creative character names was flagged so i had a force name change, next thing i see. i log in and the person that reported my name took my name for themselves… such a dirty tactic
