To be fair the game does an absolutely HORRIBLE job at portraying his true power.
Malfurion is so powerful he could probably single handedly kill all life on Azeroth.
I can’t remember the exact story but in the books there’s a story where malfurion is grieving someone and his anguish causes all the seas on the planet to become stormy and too rough to sail.
He’s so powerful his emotions alone can cause storms over the entire planet. The game does him no justice

Book Malfurion and game Malfurion infuriate me. The War of Thorns should’ve been the Horde getting in one cheap shot and then Malfurion just painting the forests red with their blood, what we got instead was Malfurion literally pulling a Krillin, blinding Sylvanas and then running away just to be taken out with an axe to the back that they immediately had to change in a side story because it was so dumb.

The way they handled Malfurion throughout WoW’s history after being such a great character in WC3 will always be one of the biggest stains of this games story
