WoW cinematic featured a female Night elf Druid. Lorewise up until post third war, Druids were exclusively men only.
Kind of want to go WoW cinematic but at the same time I want to stay true to the lore even if it’s up in flames half the time.
Do what ever your heart tells you.
Heart tells me to follow my brain, brain tells me to follow my heart.
Well… you’ll have to kill one of them then. It’s the only way.
Female dudes look like steroids infused mutants.
There are only few reasonable sized males in wow.
You mean type 1 or type 2? All i see is a fruitbowl of type 2
I mean Male or Female, the whole body type nonsense is stupid.
I always found that odd that males were the only druids. Guess Cenarius didn’t want to infringe on his mom and her girl monopoly.
Then go with your Gut …
Mines telling me Ribeye.
Female.
Did you just say male and female?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! HISSSS reported.
Play whatever gender you want to play. There’s probably a way to set a RP backstory for a female druid if that’s what you want to play while keeping night elf lore in mind. Player characters can be an exception to cultural norms.
All of my night elf toons are male, even for classes that are historically female-only such as warriors and priests, because that’s what I’m comfortable playing.
I mean I kind of already did. Due to the Third war and the sacrifice of the Night elves immortality, the Night elves relaxed the gender restrictions and the female Nelf druid is one such new student.
That matches Blizzard’s night elf lore on the old WoW website. That was saved on Wowpedia. The relaxation of gender roles is mentioned towards the end of the section “Silver Eyes, Golden Eyes”. https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Warcraft_Encyclopedia/Night_Elves
I like to keep things simple and work with what I am given.
Go ahead and make your female druid. It might not be historically traditional, but it doesn’t break the lore based on the article I linked to above that originally came from Blizzard.
