I believe a simple way to solve some of the issues that are of concern at least to myself and others in forums is use the new warbands function as an ID identifier. If you use one ID for all warband characters it will free up guild roster space, allow for more flexibility with guild control, you could use the ID to have a TRUE kick/ignore all the account’s character’s function, among other things.
What’s the issue of concern?
I suspect Warbands are a voluntary feature, hence it wouldn’t work the way you’d want it.
Warbands aren’t a voluntary feature.
Every character on your account is in your warband.
Don’t you get to choose which toons go into it?
No, you just get to choose which characters are shown together in that login screen, that’s just your “favorites” (it doesn’t really have a name)
Every character is in your warband
Ahhh.
Well I’m sure it’d cause its own issues if it was translated over onto the forum anyway.
Sorry so late to reply almost a year later. But my issue is with the current system they have in place for the ignore is only per character. So if you want to ignore someone you would have to log over to all you characters and ignore that person(s) one character still leaving their alts to harass you. The same with guild invites I use one character to invite everyone to my guild and use the ignore list to filter through the people that have caused issues in the past. Basically with my proposal this would take care of that and could use the warband account instead of actual per character. Which would free more space in guilds for the people who have 50 alts they want in guild…
