Making SL worldofRAIDcraft will be an epic fail

With the M+ changes, its clear that the only path to endgame progression requires raiding, and that WILL kill the game to a level not seen since Cata.

No room for casual play it appears, and like it or not, that’s still the vast majority of players.

It’s 3 iLevels below Heroic Nathria. That’s it.

I’m not saying it’s a good change. It’s just not that bad.

you’re wearing 475 gear from weekly chests. at best, you were getting 465 gear from drops. you’re timing 16’s and 17’s with 475 gear. pretty sure you could be timing 15’s with 465 gear. based on this, this change doesnt affect you.

the one change that does affect you is the drop rate in mythic plus. that is what i would be complaining about. not a 3 ilvl difference.

i use mythic plus to gear my toon so i can raid with my guild and have fun. i do not like the change to the amount of drops at all.

It’ll be fine.

Worst case scenario, more people play more parts of the game.

The number of loot pieces dropping at the end of M+ is the right nerf to be complaining about. It should remain at 2-3 (I think that’s where we’re at now?) and 4 on the Mythic Dungeon weekly (does that still exist in Shadowlands?)

3ilvl that will be addressed with the buff to the cache at the end of the week isn’t that bad.

You still get the best quality gear from the weekly chest. It’ll be like gearing your character as if you were already decked in 465s. The loot that really matters was always from the chest anyway unless it was a mechagon ring, a powerful trinket or a corrupted piece.

Its funny how people complain raiding is not for casuals and forcing people to raid even though nobody is forcing you too will kill the game. As vanilla, tbc, woltk the peak of the games player base had raiding as the end game progression

God forbid we put more focus where it should be…in raids.

3 ilvls below heroic raiding, but getting a massive boost to getting the mythic quality gear in the weekly chest. So short term nerf, for a long term buff. The sky is not falling.

The only thing getting nerfed is the ability to grind out massive amounts of Mythic+ gear to get heroic gear set faster than you can than on any other content. Casual people, by definition wouldn’t be grinding that much anyways. And those people would still get mythic level gear over time. Like they do now, but most likely faster with the multiple choices you get in the weekly chest.

With the changes, gear from a +15 is only 3 ilvls below heroic raid gear. Plus, you now only have to do a +14 to get the mythic-level item from the weekly chest. You can still progress your gear rather nicely without ever setting foot into the raid.

Another complaining thread about Mythic+ Loot ilvl nerf. Nothing to see here, time to move along.

I don’t like raiding…

Less people playing the game overall more like it. This plus the botched covenant system is going to do wonders for the population.

High-end gear should be rewarded based on how difficult the content is and not on how many hours you can play without being distracted by real life obligations and also raiding has become boring af.

With the M+ changes, M+ will still be the fastest gearing method in the game, which is why all the Cutting Edge raiders will be spamming the hell out of it, the first week it’s open.

But that’s just like your opinion man. 5 man content is more popular than raids. Just like random BGs are more popular than Arenas. But hey Blizzard isn’t making a game for the majority of its players, it’s making the game the devs envision it should be at the expense of a lot of us who quit once mostly due to time constraints and will easily quit again.

So you don’t need raid gear.

Eh, at its peak, it was raid for gear. :woman_shrugging:

Times change, things change, who knows if it will win or lose yet.

Base mythic+ end of dungeon loot has only ever been higher than base heroic item level in 8.3.

The other 7 raid tiers it was equal (3) or 5 item levels lower (4, Legion).

Clearly it’s the end of mythic+…

When Warcraft was one of the few big online games in town. Now every game is online.

People don’t want to hear facts, they’re too busy having fun waving the torches and pitchforks around.
