It’s 10.
But people are also acting like the group finder doesn’t exist. Lol.
Just go to a rare spawn point, open group finder, voila.
Just make sure that rare is spawning today, some are on a rotation.

Yeah I’ve been looking at the guide all day.
Saw that guy say it was 3 and was like. Oh… did they make it easier?
Thanks though.
LIKE three, I said that it was LIKE three.
Yeah, it was hyperbole, in response to an overly emotional and dramatic post about how someone’s life was ruined because they had to kill a few rares…
Will the fifty seven people that responded to me PLEASE, OH PLEASE! just forgive me, I didn’t mean to ruin anyone’s life.
40 renown vs 5 steps that are all completable in maybe two hours tops?
It’s the same problem all the imitation timeless isle zones have: rares are so spread out that half the time when someone mentions it’s up, it’s dead in 30 seconds unless you were already in the vicinity you miss out. And WoW being WoW it’s not like there will be a call and an agreed upon wait 5 minutes for people to get there before pulling, because who would wait to help others?
You would THINK that there would be an unspoken agreement to announce a rare and then wait a few minutes knowing it takes time to get there, and if someone pulls early they get called out/blacklisted/etc for breaking the code. But not in this community. It took me about an hour running around trying to find the last rare I needed for the achievement because every time someone mentioned one it was halfway across the map and dead before I got close.
For trouble getting to rares, remember a few things -
Coming back 5 days ago after a 10 month hiatus.
Not a me problem.
Well according to your achievements you at least played in October of 2021, so
People who get things first have an easier time getting more things. And the more things they get first, the more things they get first, and the harder it becomes for anyone who didn’t already get those things first to get anything at all.
This is what we call a meritocracy, and from what I’ve been told by people who already have everything, we should really stop whining about it and just get everything first like they did.
