How? If they can PvP, raid, dungeon, etc and earn rep with a tabard, I fail to see the issue.

I subbed yesterday and I have flying day 2. It’s fine. A little effort goes a long way.

All you have to do is join groups in lfg while you sit near the ones you need in case they spawn. There’s always a ton of them.
This, a little effort is all that’s needed.
I started actually working towards flying on Wednesday of this week. I had done some quests and unlocked pocopoc earlier but didn’t know what I needed to do for flying before that. I didn’t play yesterday (Thursday).
I received flying today. Had to camp a couple of rares but it wasn’t the most difficult thing to do.

well your lucky i am not the lead game design cause i would of made it mandatory to have killed at least 1000 rares and opened 1000 chests on top of the other requirements. what sickens me is running around for 4 weeks hopping skipping and jumping to get a head start all to see part timers log in and get flying within 2-3 days while skipping the 1st 4 weeks. no on this daddies watch.

you didn’t have to grind, if you couldn’t kill 10 rares in three weeks that’s a u issue.

The is not a Blizzard issue… this is not poor design… it is a lamer problem. Now I suggest more salty tears.

By the 2nd day Zerth Mortis had opened up .
The vast majority knew there would be a cheevo to opening up flying there and looked up the requirements for said cheevo .
It’s funny to fly over the tiny people who still don’t have flying.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t they reduce the rep from rares on ptr and increase the rep from quests so that killing rares for flying would be almost entirely not a thing? Like rares gove 10 rep and you need 10s of thousands and get it by the hundreds for quests?

Anybody doing this is pretty silly.
Don’t use npc scan it doesn’t work any more . Go with Silver Dragon instead and it will pop off rare announcements even if you are on the other side of the map . Also keep an eye on chat because people do announce if a rare is up and if the message shows a map pinned message , click on it and it will show you where the rare is .
Oh Yea. You are right actually. Don’t even need that for flying. Just do some quests and collect some stuff I think.

I could even go with what they did with 9.2 and have flying on a patch to patch set up .
You complete the requirements for the patch , you fly while the patch is still current .
Edit : I would have the requirements be mainly story campaign and exploring zones and maybe a few rares and treasures but no on the rep grind part (oh and before anyone says there was no rep grind in SL . Renown is a rep grind )
I like it too but it wasn’t notifying me even after I update it so I got Silver dragon and it worked .
