Something else that bugs me about Dragonflying is how the mechanics don’t match or make any sense on a lot of the mounts. I’ve grown to enjoy it, though, but Blizz should tone things down some. This isn’t GTA, where your ability to control a vehicle is key to game play. Dragonflying and DRIVE are mini games given too much importance. Just my opinion. 
The way Blizz handles Dragonflying makes me think of that friend who insists something is the absolute best and won’t stop going on about it, even though all his friends don’t care for it. lol
If Blizz believed in their baby, they would let it stand on their own. Dragonriding and regular flying would be available at the same time. No hoop, however simply, to jump through. That’s why I liken them to that annoying friend. lol

Though Tbf, it’s worse in GTA in a sense it still controls like it did back in 2004 and none of the modern sensibilities, as well the stupid turbulence effect that makes it all woobly.

But people think it shouldn’t and go “Well if they didn’t force you to use it, you wouldn’t ever use it and–” and that’s just it isn’t? Imo, this is NEVER a good defense for anything.

I’m just sick of the Anti-Flight Crowd wanting flight removed because they can’t grief others which, i suspect, is the reason you think flying being added is a mistake.

I don’t want it removed. It shouldn’t have been added to begin with because it cheapens the game but that’s hindsight. That’s also just my opinion that not many share. Flying is here and it needs to stay in game. No limitations.
I can enjoy going around on a ground mount on my own and limit myself to ground mounts only if I wanted without having it removed. I’m not looking to grief anyone. I am not anti-flying.
The idea of being able to fight while mounted on the ground is a good idea, several have mentioned. It’s something we’ve had in the past as an option from your garrison in Nagrand.
I think one way to make ground mounts more appealing would be to have several equipment slots for them.
Maybe you can can buy an item to get up to 70% reduced fall damage or become immune to daze.
Maybe another would reduce mob damage while mounted by 30%?
Maybe out of combat while mounted, you run 15% faster?
You should make some sort of acronym out of that… then a hat
Ground mounts are useful in some dungeons and raids, also you can use ground mounts in non-flying and flying zones.
It’s really odd they didn’t add skyriding to this mount it’s really strange when all other flying mounts can, no excuse to exclude this one.
