Making friends in WoW vs other games

Regarding the quality of the QUESTS, those of wow-retail and wow-classic are much better than those of FFXIV.

Those quests of FFXIV are horrendous, frightening and boring. Yoshi-P himself has said that the DETEST level up and it is only a training to go to the end-game as soon as possible.

Jeff-kaplan did 90% of the quests in Classic-wow, TBC- etc and believe me those quests are well done. If Jeff tells you Kill 10 wolves and bring me 8 fangs, it’s because he wants to “Grind” you a little more and explore the map. He was not trying to torture you psychologically

I’m not furious. I’m not disappointed other than that Afflic Warlock following the meta is a Covenant I dont like for Warlock. But no one is forcing me to the meta and I can make my own groups.
And I very much want to play Wow. I log in every day and have fun. I focus on a mix of Shadowlands content and older content. I hunt for transmog. I search for pets and mounts. I level toons. I set myself goals like leveling the hardest for me class ans taking my toon through all the areas that made me quit the class before. I set my goals and have fun my way.

You don’t have these problems on roleplay servers. Players there focus more on socializing

On FF roleplay servers or wow ones? On FF14 rp servers is where inplayed and barely saw any chat in zones, didnt have anyone reach out to me as well as low success on even getting replies to game related questions or positive comments on player’s glamours.

On Wow RP servers ive met and seen friendly, quirky, fun people. Ive had people help me out and offered others help. I’ve made friends.

The best way to find friends in game is not to be afraid to join their guild discords when trying out a new guild. You learn way quicker what the atmosphere is like and can know when to go or stay in said guild. This applies to any game out there. Its a new age. People don’t just type anymore.
