Make it where Lava Burst checks for the Flame Shock dot (for the 100% crit) as it hits the target instead of when you cast it. This will allow for the smooth gameplay of casting Lava Burst and following up with the Flame Shock instead having to waste an extra global.

It’s a retail feature. You can cast flame shock at right after casting lava burst. That wasn’t implemented until like legion I think.
At least in Wrath you don’t get the guaranteed crit that way tho if the dot falls off even a hair before the LB cast completes.
OP says that lava burst should be 100% crit if you cast flame shock right after the lava burst,just like it is in retail for some time now.
