I see the word “Toxic” is comin back into style on the forums.
That being said, when a post has that word in it, I just stop reading past that point and can no longer take the topic seriously.

I think the best real and useful meaning of toxic is one layer above selfish.
Selfish would be hurting someone else to make a personal gain.
Toxic would be hurting someone else or a whole community for its own sake, or for no reason at all.
