Make your own group

I constantly see countless posts from people complaining about not getting invited to mythic + , raider io score, having a bad time in arena cus they use LFG and don’t have a dedicated partner or team or already saying they won’t get invited in shadowlands unless they are the correct covenant to all of you I say…

make your own groups, find friends or a guild to group up with. imagine if you spent your time and energy doing that instead of being angry not enjoying the game and making rage posts.

I use to be in this situation not having people to play with but I found friends and even became part of streaming communities that played the game and grouped up with people that way also do this and you will enjoy the game way more and become much happier.

on alts i just make my own key usually cause people in the 2-8 bracket don’t realize that ilvl isn’t as big as knowing what you’re doing and I don’t get invited to anything.
My warrior is 445 and he doesn’t get invited to 5’s to 8’s lmfao.

the people that trudge this forum are gonna yell at you

The best part about making your group is labeling it as a chill run for noobs. You meet great people that way! :upside_down_face:

I enjoy running lower keys and meeting people who play this game because they love it. They have no clue what a “parse” is, and they still manage to have fun.

I recently met a husband/wife mage combo who had been married for 50 years.

there are not enough tanks to fill all groups

This is like a “Hey guys I won a few millions on the lottery and if I can do it anyone can super easy you just have to believe :)”.

Anyways, you literally have to make your own group if you’re gearing up an alt during off-hours because nobody runs low keys and everyone expects high io. Just like the guy above pointed out, tanks are a shortage. The solution is super simple - everyone make a tank, easy game, easy life. Right?

I still believe that covenant choice will not matter for the majority of players.

But it isn’t even remotely close to that hard.

What OP is driving at is that people tend to be averse to taking initiative. Using that to your advantage would make gearing significantly faster rather than being the type that only applies.

But if the bads make their own group the only people they’ll be able to recruit are other bads. How are they supposed to get carried through a +10 without good players inviting them?

It plagues these hardstuck low key runners. They never take responsibility and just blame everyone else for the fact they don’t get invited to keys

I’ll spit a harsh truth to you guys, I guess. It seems obvious but someone needs to hear it.

Do you know why people invite i470s to a +5?

  • is it because you need i470 to complete it?
  • is it because they’re elitists?
  • is it because they’re afraid of lower geared players being less experienced?

No. It’s because i470 players are applying to that +5. Happened to me last night.

My normal Mythic+ group is a 4man; Vengeance, Havoc, Balance and Disc. We need a 5th DPS almost every run we do. I make a LFG post most weeknights for our 5th (when we’re actively keying). For awhile we were the 4th highest RIO on our server (not a brag, our server is awful). So I have a lot of experience with choosing players out of LFG.

When I post a +15 Atal’Dazar needing one DPS do you know what happens? I get a HUNDRED FREAKING APPLICATIONS IMMEDIATELY. Like literally, dozens. I get i482 mages with 4k IOs. I get i480 rogues with 3.4 IOs. I get some outrageously geared and accomplished players applying. I also get i450s with 800 IOs applying. Now, do I absolutely need to take that i482 mage with a nearly 3500 RIO to complete a measly +15 that we could probably just 4man at this point? No, not really. But why wouldn’t I accept that guy? Easiest run ever. 400,000 DPS combustion windows. Yes please.

And here’s the thing, guys. This is ALL THE KEYS. If I post a +5 Freehold LF1M DPS, I STILL GET i470S APPLYING. So the reason you’re not getting accepted to a +5 at i450 isn’t because your gear or IO are too low, it’s because there’s activel competition for the spot. And in all likelihood, someone BETTER is applying than you are.

Don’t attribute every denial you get to malice or elitism. 99% of the time it’s because you’re directly competing with someone wildly more prepared than you are.

This is why I like applying as a tank.

The question is why such players are applying to the low level keys.

Ironically I’ll jump into low level keys on this toon…sometimes just like to help people out

To help? The 4-mythic completion weekly? Because a buddy of their’s is in the group? Maybe trying to grab an off-set trinket or weapon or something? Tons of reasons.

Regardless I have consistently seen, throughout both Legion and BFA, outrageously geared and accomplished people applying for my LF1M DPS for Mythic+ posts.

There are just SO MANY dps looking for spots. And a group that already has a tank, two DPS and a healer AND A HIGH KEY? That’s a prime group to apply to. No waiting involved. Just boom, you’re off.

So yeah, why would I choose an i445 hunter for a Freehold +5 when I have an i479 Mage, an i479 Demon Hunter and an i474 Warlock all applying too?

470+ looking for a trinket in a sub 10? Yes to +13-15, but as the weeks go on the likelihood of that lessens for most excluding pvp push reasons and that is already niche.

Literally last night doing an alt run, +5 Freehold on my i409 warlock we had an i474 hunter apply for the last spot. He did 98k DPS to Harlan. Why did he come? I have no idea. We didn’t know him. He was friendly during the run, thanked us at the end and left.

This isn’t a rare example. This is the normal.

Not saying it doesn’t happen, just don’t see it often. Only real standout was noobadin coming to tank regular mechagon last year when I was going for progression sprockets. 4 manned it easily

the problem is, when I pug people for my key, it fails 9/10. I wouldn’t mind not timing the key if people would stay. but after the first wipe its “nah, i’m out.” sure if it reaches more than 2 wipes on the same boss, i get it. i’ll usually stick it out until the fourth wipe on a boss. as long as we are progressing through the dunegon, i’m good. but nobody has patience these days.

too many up set over group decline , i agree , every thing gets better if u delcine or accept the 1 u want
