Make WoW Free to Play

new blood is what wow needs, make money from a store with cosmetics, remove barriers to entry, and addon reliance, gg ez

Imagine instant queues, full world, this game has so much potential. Partner with the community on one of the new classic launches, leverage the hype twitch can bring, with a free to play launch, revamped plunderstorm, wow could actually recover if done right. Spend 5 dollars and brain cells on improving pvp, if you need ideas, hit me up, combine blitz and rbg bracket/allow groups larger than 2 to q up. I have 40 ideas like this, hit me up blizz

they could do better, remove the subscription model, remove ALL barriers  Blizz desperately needs to stop shooting itself/community in the foot, 20 years of this, has widdled down the biggest community in gaming

How about no because subscriptions are there for a reason.

Yup, would rather pay a sub than deal with free to play game nonsense.

Oh, you wanna change your transmog? No problem. Just buy these handy transmog tokens. On sale this week. 10 for only 5 dollars. :stuck_out_tongue:

Edit: Fixing punctuation.

Hehe, fair enough. That makes you smarter than the rest of us. :stuck_out_tongue:

id settle for a 5 to 7.50$ reduction in monthly subs!

I mean the sub price hasn’t changed USD wise since vanilla launched that’s generous on their part. They could’ve raised prices by 5-10 USD but they never did.

It’s about removing barriers… having to subscribe to a game is a huge barrier for players just dipping their toes in, yall remember how hard it was to ask the parentsfor a subscription back in the day. New players that just want to try it out, hear about a monthly payment as big as their netflix payment, instant turn off

As far as I am aware, they were underpaying all these years. And all they did was raise the rates to where they SHOULD be so everyone pays the same… but I could be wrong.

Some barriers are there for a reason lol.

There’s literally starter accounts where you can play up to 20 to see if you like the game or not.

WoW has plenty of players and is constantly getting more.

The game doesn’t need to go free-to-play, and the quality of the game would dramatically decrease as a result. So the longer that can be staved off? The better.

Yes and no. There is a little more to it than that. They were underpaying for a bit, sure, but it’s more that every now and then Blizzard adjust rates to the current currency exchange. It has happened multiple times. I get why they do it, but it still doesn’t feel much better when your sub is above 20 dollars already and keeps going up.

That is not Blizzard’s fault though. That is just the pain of living in a country with a lower dollar than America. Canada gets it too, but not as badly.
