new blood is what wow needs, make money from a store with cosmetics, remove barriers to entry, and addon reliance, gg ez

Imagine instant queues, full world, this game has so much potential. Partner with the community on one of the new classic launches, leverage the hype twitch can bring, with a free to play launch, revamped plunderstorm, wow could actually recover if done right. Spend 5 dollars and brain cells on improving pvp, if you need ideas, hit me up, combine blitz and rbg bracket/allow groups larger than 2 to q up. I have 40 ideas like this, hit me up blizz :slight_smile:

They should make Leveling to max level and world content free to play along with unrated PVP with expansion purchase.

I think pvp would be more popular if it was freely accessible like most popular pvp games today.

I think WoW would be both the best F2P and most predatory game ever.

I can totally imagine them adding premium runback speed for PvE and OP unrated PvP pots for money

My take is WoW being free to play would invite all the cheaters and exploiters to do their thing without much repercussion. Its already no mans land in terms of rule enforcement.

When csgo became ftp it had an influx of “New” players and it was just bots and more hackers. Nothing good came of it being free to play, it just bloated the player count to a very disingenuous value. While WoW being Free to play sounds good on paper, it will only be worse tbh. The game has been around for 25 years. I think majority of the gaming market knows about this game and people just are not interested in it as much as we are. I think there would be more bads than goods of it becoming a free to play. It could bring new players but I do not think it’ll bring a lot, and that as a good simply is small compared to my complaints of negatives.

I think WoW going free to play would be terrible. Swtor did the same thing and it didn’t go well. Without a monthly sub, Blizzard would be more dependent on store purchases to make money. More resources would be put into RMT cosmetics instead of game development and content. The game would be less active and it would snowball from there. If you thought the $90 store mount was bad, a free to play WoW would be worse.
