I’m talking over all experience. Also even with my frustration with BfA I’d still play it over many f2p ones. FFXIV is my current mmo of choice and it also requires a sub.

Obviously a lot of it also has to do with personal Preference as well as what people want out of an mmo. Just throwing in my 2 cents

If this game ever went free to play it would just be the most pathetic thing ever. It would make all the cosmetics meaningless and thats what this game has been about FROM THE START. Other MMOs just want a quick cash grab, WoW is far superior and different from the others. If you want to play a f2p MMO go play Elder Scrolls.

At some point it will most likely go to it, who knows when that will happen but it will one day. I am sure they are still at a sufficient subscriber mark right now that they are not at that point of feeling the need to go there though.

Is there an opening in the Warcraft Players Conspiracy and Salt Association? I have some thoughts about how the new 8.1.5 cinematic is a secret subliminal message tricking us into buying boosts and race changes. Why else would they have an undead Kul Tiran AND a Tauren featured except to manipulate us?

You wanna pay 200 blizzard bucks (roughly $5 ) per character to unlock bank space on non subbed accounts? because that’s how that garbage starts, with this line of logic.

There is already a free to play option, you just can’t do certain actions ingame and are restricted to level 20…

F2P or B2P mmos are just fine, but converting one sucks. You think the cash shop is bad NOW?

They might as well just Shut Down WoW and announce WoW is shutting down for good cause no matter what a gaming company that ignores player feedback will not survive. Having it free to play and pay to win will not keep it from dying.

What’s wrong with cash shops? Guild wars does it just fine and that game has not died…at all.
