Lets have some fun with these pugs making random Raid groups for world pvp. Lets see Blizzard shard two factions against each other in real time as a response to one person queing for World PVP in the group finder.
This is also to help out the people that are solo questing from getting ganked by a raid group. They should be sharded into a world where they have a chance to fight back.
Such as
-Raid groups into Raid Group War Mode
-5 Party team into 5 party group war mode
-1-3 players into 1-3 players war mode
-Add selections here. Let players choose what they can be sharded into.
The pickup raid groups are almost always formed to combat a threat in their own shard. After all, we’re supposed to have PVP solutions to PVP problems in war mode. Sharding the raids somewhere else defeats that solution, and so would undercut the whole point of war mode.
Considering it takes Alliance 3+ 5-man groups to take down just -one- Horde 5-man…
Seriously, how are you guys such absolute trash at WPvP?
The backpedaling, the lack of CC, no idea of what or when to interrupt, the blind tunneling, no idea of how terrain works… it boggles my mind.
Nah, we don’t claim to be great, very few will make that claim, even those who are. But at least most of us are over the 330 threshold unlike some of your guys running their mouths. Did they just ding 120 with the Alliance welfare system?
i’ve seen 40 man raid groups form in War Mode only to Troll an area and to get the Assassin States. it would be nice to see Blizz address this issuse but that is a dream they wont do anyhting to stop retards who can’t do anything on there own. When i’m on my Horde toons i see Aliance running from one single horde all the time, vise versa. it seams that almost all of the War Mode Combat is done with in 40+ Raid Groups. it is kinda annoying. it bothers me when i log into a chracter just to die immidintly becuse there are two 40 man raid groups farming that area.
I agree its very annoying if you just want to farm herbs or do some world quests and you are one man against two armies. I signed up for PVP and I would love for the sign up to be with some restrictions/tiers. I want the Blizzard WOW team to take a few notes from the Blizzard Overwatch team for group making.
In Overwatch if you stack up 6 people into 1 group the game will try to find 6 others in one group to make the match fair. If the game sees you 3 stacking it will attempt to put you with another 3 stack and against a (3+3), (4+2) or (6) stack. They do this to try to balance unfair advantages to the other side. The lesson from here is to give the battlefield some equal ground, unless you sign up for mayhem (40 man raids and all other pvp instances).
If I sign up but am in a 1-5 party let me be in a realm where there are only 1-5 parties. If then the game detects that my group is a raid with 20+ people, put me into a shard that has other 20+ people and let us fight for rewards, mounts, titles, AP, gear, etc. And if 40 man raid put me with a 40 man raid group.
This should be done not only because it makes sense on a gameplay scale but the Blizzard WOW team already uses ideas like this in game. They zone Raid World Boss Groups quite efficiently to help deal with random amounts of players dropping into a shard. They do this in part to protect players that are solo playing and to reduce world lag. Now on a grander scale the same can be done for World PVP. If a server area fills with lets say 6 Horde 40 man groups in Nazmir with 6 Alliance 40 man groups in Nazmir at the same time and Zone it cuts off other groups to protect the efficiency of the world lag. Ideally this would make a fun game experience.
War mode is great because it gave players from all of wow the chance to engage in world pvp because of their zone. But it does have kinks. Here is hoping Blizzard thinks about this.
Also if you do pop in for Raid War Mode PVP you should be able to get the rewards from the world content. The creatures should be scaled accordingly but not too high as to not forget there is a war going on outside. Sucks that only World Bosses can bring in raids. At a minimum give a raid group a version of the world quests.
And the issue keeps getting worse. Alliance have all the incentive to make warmode raid groups while the horde have all the incentive to NOT make warmode raid groups ie to play solo or in small groups.
When someone signs up for world PVP they should find themselves with a good challenge. I of the firm belief that if the Alliance and Horde raid groups were sharded into a server that soley hosts PvP raid groups this issue would go away and become a major benefit of this expansion. Because then its real and more organized.
The original pvp system that formed groups of 2,3,5,10,40+ were designed to have some semblance of balance and order. Intelligence and combat readiness is essential for any war campaign. This is to say there are few moments when the army of one faction is sent to individually pick off soldiers. They would instead use smaller groups to cover a wider area. For the big areas one faction wants to capture they then bring in the big armies. Thinking contrary to this would be inefficient and would need overwhelming justification to send armies to fight 1 person at a time.
Anduin cannot be this silly and Sylvannas cannot be so dumb to not have some army organization.
The solution is smart sharding for pvp. Place the raid groups with raid groups and let them duke it out. Then place incentives for the horde and alliance to participate in this and be rewarded for time spent hunting the opposite faction. Its hurting the game to have Horde as cattle for the Alliance and vice versa. Give us something like AP, gold, rep, something. If the incentive is only there for one faction then only one faction will play world pvp and the other will routinely turn it off or fully avoid those raid groups.
Blizzard if people are turning on warmode to hide from others in warmode due to fear of raid groups its bad game design. It was bad design at the beggining of BFA and it still is now. There needs to be a scaling system. That brings these big groups together and then managing the input intelligently to not cause lag issues.
