It was said back in the WoD model updates that big hands are just sort of part of the iconography of WoW. They’re just characterized by it in the same manner as they are big shoulderpads.

Looks like they lost the 5head, and started looking at you head on instead of at a profile.
It makes sense for them to be ugly. They’re repenting for their sins, one of which is vanity/pride.

the hands make sense imo. They are longer because of there hunting. Like, apex predators style. Long nails = long slashes.

I don’t think they were meant to be “cute” but I do like the concept art a bit more. The faces are a bit… long.

Probably change the square shape of their ingame model. I agree with everyone though that neither could be considered “cute”, but I think the concept art looks better.

Looks like their concept art didn’t transfer well to the Nightborne model. Not surprising. Nightborne are a bit of a travesty.
