It’s always so funny to see the cycle of the community in WoW. It’s like clockwork, the new expansion gets revealed and everyone is like OMG WOW IS BACK, I CAN’T WAIT FOR X Y AND Z
Then the expansion gets released and after a few months people are like I hate this game!! I don’t like X Y and Z!! Then this all repeats the next expansion. Make up your mind already, do you love or hate the game?
I never understand people who say this, you are talking about hundreds of different people, so the same people who like something aren’t the same people complaining about it.
The entire fanbase isn’t going to agree on anything ever, it’s just normal opinions, so when people make comments about how we “flip fop”, we really don’t, it’s just different people making different comments.
Now if you have comments you can share of the same person making contradicting comments, then have at it, lol.
I am convinced that there is indeed a legitimate portion of the WoW community that hates the game but also has zero clue what it is they actually want to see out of WoW and Blizz.
I was somewhat disappointed personally. I was hoping more zones would be redesigned, especially Exodar being that for 8 years now their starting zone shouldn’t exist since the Vindicaar launched. Void Demon Hunter makes zero sense. How is fel and void magic supposed to co-exist when they are opposing forces. Are they supposed to be races that absorbed a void being instead of a demon? Then Zul’Aman being one of the zones, are we supposed to take that seriously after BFA and Zandalar basically turned their tribe into a joke.
I won’t make any judgment until it comes out but I was hoping for more.
With the exception of WOD, I have loved this game since the moment I stepped foot in it. The only thing that that’s actually wrong with this game are the people who stopped being fans and started being critics. When I log into the game, everybody is having a blast. When I come to this site, everybody is having a crisis. At this point the biggest problem with the game is the forums.
But here is the question; Do you see individuals getting all excited then getting all disappointed? Or is there one group that gets excited and continues to love the game while another complaints about the trailer then hates the game?
Well thing is, you have to stop treating us as a hive mind. There are plenty here who legit will be happy and stay happy and there are others who will be hyped by the features but then when they try it out , it doesn’t live up to their expectations.
Then there is the wow fatigue of always having the same template game loop
