I’m on another hunter alt attempting Side Street Sluice tier 11. I’m way under geared around 620 but I’ve already finished it a few times on said alt and yes another under geared hunter as well.
Anyways, I’m dying like nothing that’s ever been seen before, so I decided to speed up the gearing process a little and to go purchase some veteran gear from Sir Finley.
I had about 1500 undercoin on my little hunter so purchased 3 pieces and ran out. I need more gear and for a really dumb reason I can’t understand, I can’t transfer Undercoin from my other alts. O.K., I’ll work around and hop on a Protection Warrior I started the season with but don’t plan on continuing. Oh look I can’t even see mail armour on a plate wearer so this Undercoin I EARNED IS USELESS.
Now I’m using my mains Undercoin to purchase gear, which will put me in the red for any transmog I may not want to purchase. Just another example of Blizzard getting in my way of having fun that I’m paying them for…
I’ve read that before. Why? How often will you be able to buy a wave scrambler? I’m in a delve right now but I think they are 2500 undercoin. So it’s not like you will be buying one after every run or anything. Another piece of heroic gear a week isn’t going to hurt anyone or break in many ways a broken game.

Probably because keys are no longer account-bound. Wave Scrambler is warbound and you can buy keys on as many alts as you want as long as they have the coins.
I don’t think it’s because of the scrambler because they’re warbound. You can buy a stack and stick them in your warbank if you want.
I think it’s because of the coffer key change. In S1, you were limited to 3 undercoin keys per account per week. In S2, you’re limited to 2 per character per week. You get so much undercoin from higher tiers that I don’t see what it accomplishes but it’s the only reason I can think of. By the time a new alt exhausts their weekly and renown keys they’ll have more than enough undercoin for 2 more.
I tried, I could only see Warrior options. The specs, all (transmog & plate) or BOE or something. Maybe an add-on issue hiding it from me or I remembered how to do it, just didn’t see the option for all armour types.
I do miss being able to transfer under coin around. Maybe toward the end of the season they will allow us to do it again. I just know last season I bought 80 of those 500 under coin boxes and 10 of the 10,000 under coin pets. I wasted so many keys, on average of around 30 per characters because I would only open 1 tab at hero level, whereas this season I am opening up 2 tabs of hero track.
Imo, would actually love the option to transfer coins again. I’m not even sure if I want to invest in 4 alts like I did last season, so this change feels like it was made to benefit people who has several characters in their pockets.
Managing alts gear-wise can be very time-consuming lol.
Interesting, i do that on my warlock and can see all armor types. Are you using addons for UI? I’m not using any so if you are try disabling and hopefully that helps
I don’t undertand problem with that. Can only play 1 tune at a time. Who cares if I gear up a 4th string alt that I play once every 6 months or just does skinning or whatever?
I run 7 main characters a week through delves and then if I have time, I might run up to 4 more minor characters through delves. This week though I would normally be done by Thursday, Friday at the latest, I am still working on my 7th character today.
Tuesday, I took a nuclear stress test, and Wednesday I went over the results which resulted in me having to go to the hospital to have a catheter stuck in my wrist and find out I have 2 blockages at 20%, 2 blockages at 80%, 1 blockage at 90% and 1 blockage at 100% (90% is back feeding into the 100%). So, looks like I will be having open heart surgery soon.
I’m terribly sorry to hear that. I hope your surgery goes well so you can get back to playing the game again. Impressive that you run that many characters, S2 for me two feels pretty taxing even though I’m busy with another game. But that may change in the future depending on how I feel.
Yea. I’m thinking it’s Pawn or Narcissus or something. Who knows. I’ll try later, I’m in another delve. Really I shouldn’t have too, it’s a PITA. So much easier and woke to be able to transfer the coin.
You hear that Blizzard?!?!? It’s woke to transfer undercoin, do your thing.
Blizz has never stated why but as many have stated it’s likely due to the coffer key change where you were limited to 2-3 per account a week in S1 but now you can buy 2 per character a week.
