Trying to get along with the new ui and no addons, (like that is gonna fly), but I can’t make the ui smaller. I can make it larger so the people across the street can watch from their living room. Me, I would like a ui that still lets me see the game. Maybe 100% to 50% would be more useful

You can shrink the bars and some of the elements in edit mode. Just select them and move the “Icon Size” slider.

I’m on a 55” monitor and 84% worked to get things to fit.

and here I thought two 27" monitors side by side was too much to look at.
I think that’d be worse, to be honest. At least with a 55’’ screen the ratio won’t be too wonky but two 27’’ side by side would have a silly wide ratio.
oh…not running the same thing. Game on the right one, talking here on the left, But its so wide my head has to keep flipping back and forth.
Im a 52" and the smallest UI scale is still way too big. Not sure why they limited how small it can go. Until it’s fixed smaller I have to use addons, something I was excited to get rid of.
Doubt they figured many people play on 50 inch screens and need higher scaling.
Options > System: Graphics >
Check the box for “Use UI Scale”, and adjust slider down from 100%. Then just enlarge your other elements in the UI editor.

The game client is a bit of compiled code and a whole lot of (Blizzard-written) addons.
The only differences between those and the ones produced by the user community are that Blizzard’s are
- Able to access protected functionality
- Load prior to any community addons
- Not as well written or maintained
That’s it.
ElvUI, Bartender4, WeakAuras, they all (to one degree or another) do exactly what you’re asking for and if Blizzard implemented what you want it would be in the form of an addon - just one that doesn’t get updated regularly or tested well.
