I’m in r/Transmogrification all the time looking at awesome sets made by really inventive people. And occasionally I’m dumb enough to think I’m actually going to go farm them.
But I’m never going to.
Why not let people farm up and “bundle” the items (Link Outfit links on AH) to sell on the Auction House?

good idea - some people love doing that stuff

After the “set” is for sale for so long it will eventually be so cheap that everyone can buy it for nothing.
And…
Time played metric. Why Blizzard gonna let you buy something instantly when you can spend hours upon hours grinding for a single piece.
Edit: unless you’re talking about their own sets they’ve created themselves.
this isn’t likely to happen. I have been selling the same transmog item for 5 years now and it still sells well at the same price I started out.
I am assuming items they farmed or crafted and put together as a set to sell. So you are buying someone’s creativity as well as the items.

Exactly.
You can sell 8 items now. This just lets you bundle them.

I think this is what they were referring to.
Custom built transmog “sets” farmed, made and sold by players.

I am not all that sure how many 8 piece sets you would find though because very often there are BoP items that finish out a 4 or 6 piece set well.
It would be nice if that all those old crafted items or drops from old raids/dungeons could be made BoE instead of BoP and there would be a really good selection and give people who don’t normally raid/do dungeons a whole lot of content to do. I can’t see a reason for things to be kept BoP after a certain period of time.

I mean they could put sets for gold, but they wouldnt be cool or anything… anything good you gota farm thats how it always was
I dunno, a lot of the classic leveling sets like Glorious go for obscene amounts of money.
They are alot cuz they are rare not cool
Well then it’s time to change things.
