Just remove the ability for sub max level players to use in-game communication altogether. Is that enough?

What I use it for that’s it people complaining about getting an addon when you can shut trade off cause it’s used for basically nothing not groups not selling and I spent 60 days in trade with a friend selling flasks 100g cheaper than ah sold maybe 20 in 60 days between us which proves its worthless when you tell people cheaper and no one buys it has no point in 2021.
I’d bump that to Level 50, currently. At the end of this expansion, bump it to 60.

That’s easy to fix:
Players are only allowed to post 1 message to trade chat per hour. This restriction is account-wide.
This will significantly cut down on the spam, but I’m not sure if it’s restrictive enough.
Get the addon badboy. You can filter out anything you want and you’ll never have to see it again

60 in my view have them be responsible.
The vast majority of the advertisements are coming from compromised accounts, so the fix that Blizzard is implementing to only allow custom text if you have an authenticator (which requires a working mobile phone at this point) should address this without imposing any level caps on it.
