Make the deserters debuff to one hour long

It’s not just him. Leavers occur daily and for dumb reasons. Leaving because other team caps one flag. Tanks queuing for level content and aiming for one item and when they don’t get it they leave. Hell if they do get it they leave.

If you don’t want to do the content don’t do it. But don’t waste peoples time. Leaving should have an increasing time each time they do it. 1 hour then 3 then 6 then 24 then 48 and so on. It resets only when a new season starts

the good always suffers with the bad. that’s life.

Lol
Wut lol

That’s Sunday logic. It’s only Friday.

Please no, i’ve had the game crash on me cause well the game is buggy so coming back to have to wait an hour because of bad code is stupid.

just what i said. laws are made with everyone in mind, but it’s to deter the wrongdoers. same as in thiscase with dc’s and such. yes it happens and sucks when it’s you, but for the betterment of the game, longer debuffs should be implemented to deter those only looking to be carried for a quick win or clear.

I still don’t agree. To try and differentiate the two is something Blizz can’t do. I would never agree on making that punishment worse unless we could differentiate.

happened to me many times, but i’d still support this. just play another alt until it wears off.

No. Just as you cant stop me leaving your groups you cant force me off the forums. Kick rocks.

deserter debuff could last a day and it would still be better then staying in a losing wintergrasp.

So, you want to force people to stay in a group of window lickers?
Personally, I’d advocate to remove the debuff. Since it’ll allow people to get out of bad groups without penalty, and take away the ability for people to grief you, causing you to get the debuff.

he’s probably one of those we’re exactly talking about, needng to be carried or they’re off to the next.

They are bad and need to be carried if they disagree with us, but also Blizzard please force them to stay

Do you not see how silly your argument is here?

Not compared to yours it isn’t…

The debuff should be shorter imo.

I would think a few more brain cells would be required for that realization to happen…

See?

Eh, while I tend to agree with this notion, I can see the unintended side-effects as well. If deserter was removed entirely then we would have a situation like back in WoTLK where any unpopular map/dungeon would simply never fill up.

Remember when pug tanks would insta-afk out as soon as they zoned into The Oculus? So it was a constant revolving door of backfillers/constant re-queuing for a tank since no one wanted to run that place, and because there was no deserter people simply re-rolled their dungeon queue over and over until a “good” dungeon popped

I think deserter should just be made shorter to reduce downtime in the event of a bad group, backfilled LFR, etc. Something like this:

  • LFR Deserter: 20 minutes
  • Dungeon Deserter: 10 minutes
  • BG deserter: 10 minutes

10 minutes seems to be pretty “standard” in comparable-sized multiplayer games, I would just use that as the default for WoW

no because that wasn’t even my words. good try though!

Hear me out on this, instead of coercing players into unpopular maps/dungeons Blizzard removed them from random queues until such time they can update them to be fun and enjoyable and attract the playerbase?

kinda like you believing his quote were my actual words, eh?

maybe they should just mail you the gear rng would’ve provided so you don’t even have to enter it, right?
