Having a level 50 version of this set would be a huge incentive for players to PvP in Phase 3, and act as a legitimate way of gearing a character other than simply farming whatever the new raid dungeon will end up being. If Blizz wants to cap Phase 3 under Rank 10, then you could simply change the requirement to Rank 9 or below for the full set.
The Grand Marshal/High Warlord set should obviously stay a Phase 4/5 thing only.
Additionally, being able to use these blue pvp sets for the majority of a phase will give them their own flavor, as opposed to simply being a small stopgap at 60 until you can grind a couple more weeks of PvP for Rank 13.

Oh there’s going to be the new raid at 50 with a full set of new gear and items as well. It would just be cool to get a reworked version of this set to use at 50.
As it stands, the level 60 version of this would need to be reworked and updated for SoD stats anyways.
We’re not even getting Rank 10 at lvl 60 lol.
We’re getting Rank 7 at lvl 50 and Rank 9 at lvl 60, with the rest of the Ranks being slowly doled out over weeks/months after the lvl 60 phase drops.
I believe they said r14 was going to be available in AQ (which i assume also means that the 40 man classic raids will appear in the same order)
Yeah, and in the same post said that Rank 9 would be the initial cap for PvP Rank when Phase 4 first comes out.
They could scale it down to 50 and change the rank to whatever is needed for Phase 3. None of that is an issue.
This would solve the problem of the new raid being the only real way to get a solid set of top gear.

That’s not needed as long as Phase 3 provides enough content/gearing opportunities at level 50. Phase 2 was heavily lacking in this regard, and downscaling/downranking the blue PvP set for level 50 would fill in this gearing gap between PvE/Raid/PvP content.
