Dracthyr are getting dragonriding for Soar. Druids will, too. Articles are on Wowhead
Dracthyr get it on 10.2.5 and Druids wont until WW.
I doubt Metzen has much say on gameplay (though im sure his opinion would carry weight.)
He’s narrative director of Warcraft. I’m pretty sure his condition for returning was probably final say on all things narrative.

Dragonriding in zones as well in 10.2.5.
I was super excited too until I saw the .5 and realized we have no date for that patch yet.
Now I weep.
I predict the end of December so we call all rage that they release new stuff when we’re supposed to spend time with family and not game.
Lies. Everyone at Blizz lives to see another day only cause daddy Metzen allows it.
Metzen definitely had better command of the stage than any of the other presenters. He knows how to work the BlizzCon audience.
Druids get real dragon riding in a future update. And can tbc fly. Instant cast.
Not sure why Blizzard is against Soar being unrestricted too.

Yeah but for some stupid reason they’re keeping the cooldown. I’d really like to see that removed.
The casting animation and such is fine, but why do we have to have a cooldown that we have to sit and wait for after we land?

They said it was a shorter cooldown, so I am really hoping that means that after dragonriding talents and fully exploring a zone that it would translate to no cooldown. Prolly not, but I can hope.

That would be acceptable. Still dunno why it needs it at all. No one else has a cooldown.
