Make SnD a passive

its an annoying, gcd ability that’s just there as another button to press in order to reach rogue’s viable dps. it also increases rogue’s ramp-up time. a rogue’s rotation already has a lot of buttons to press, especially assassination

Without SnD, Rogue is brainless. It’s easy even with SnD. Just practice and learn how to work the ability into your rotation. Leave SnD as is.

I’m not quite sure what you mean. Can you explain how removing SnD would make Rogue brainless? I’m assuming you mean without SnD Rogues could play on auto-pilot? If so, I disagree with that statement. Can you clarify why you think it would? I don’t have an issue with it in or out, but I’m curious as to your reasoning.

SnD is fine as is.

They do not need to remove it.

Proper SnD usage separates good and bad rogues. SnD also interacts well with all three specs.

it would still interact with all specs well since it would still be there in some form but just as a passive

if rogue would be brainless without snd then what are other classes right now? they must be more than brainless

The gameplay of rogue would be brain dead boring if you made it a passive.

You will never have me agree to making it a passive.

This is a “git gud” moment.

thats fine but i highly doubt a single skill that you press every 30 seconds is paramount to how fun rogue is.

SnD is just plain boring, doesn’t add anything to Assassination, should be removed/made passive asap and bring some other ability for Sin.

If you only press it once every thirty seconds you shouldn’t have needed to make a thread about it?

its a nuisance to maintain while youre doing everything else in your rotation. its also very easy to forget about. maybe if they made it off gcd that would be a good compromise

Why do you never complain about rupture? SnD interacts more than rupture does :man_shrugging:t3:

I don’t really understand that. It’s just another thing to manage, right? I’m not saying managing SnD is difficult, (Especially w/ Grand Melee) but removing it won’t make it brain dead boring. I think most exciting part of outlaw is hitting your pistol shot proc, leading into a solid dispatch that nets you a nice RtB buff.

To me, SnD isn’t what makes rogues exciting, so IMO making it a passive wouldn’t make the class any less fun.

Not at all.

All three specs flow pretty smoothly :man_shrugging:t3:

You do realize there are more specs than just outlaw right?

You’re entitled to your opinion but SnD is one of the main reasons I came back to main rogue.

snd definitely does not flow well with any spec other than outlaw

Then you’re not playing sub or sin properly.

Sub increases shadow technique procs

Sin increases energy regen and poison procs.

? i mean flow well as in it is awkward to use in your rotation

If you’re having issues with SnD in either sub or subs rotation you need to learn to pool energy instead of spamming abilities like a mad man.

I do, but you’re still not explaining why the removal of SnD would make Rogues as a class boring. Outlaw clearly would still be fun. I haven’t seen anyone advocate that w/o SnD Sin and Sub would be unfun to play, other than you.

Your argument is (correct me if I misstate it), Sub and Sin need to manage SnD or it will be unfun/boring. I don’t understand that reasoning. It’s literally a button you hit every 30 seconds. How will the removal of hitting a button every 30 seconds make an entire class boring?
