Let’s face it, shadow is never going to be a good DPS spec. They’re never going to get rid of VF. Blizzard would sooner delete demon hunters from the game than ungimp shadow.
So let’s turn it into a tank spec. Voidform is now vengence demon form, shield is now a mitigation ability, and we already have a self heal. Easy, easy change. And why not make it a ranged tank? MF and MS now both drastically slow enemies! Innovation at work.

How about No. That would mean Priest would NOT have a DPS Spec at all.

You’re either a time traveller from next sunday or I’m on some crazy stuff. I’m leaning towards the former.

We don’t have a DPS spec, we have shadow.

Screw it. Give it 3 dps specs.

Actually, nerf that comment, we do have a DPS spec. It’s called disc.

You’re taking this game way too seriously.

What? We’ve been horrendously OP more often than not this xpac.

That can be a shadow tank spell, you stop attacking your target to make fun of the mob’s gear score and cheevos. And it’s uh, void themed.
Sure, but it means Disc or Holy is becoming a DPS spec, because there’s no way any of us will tolerate being the only class with no DPS spec. We honestly shouldn’t even have 2 Heal Trees. That’s just been a convenient means to keep priests pigeon-holed into healing, which makes their screw up and refusals to fix Shadow that much worse.

Disc is already a DPS spec, problem solved.
Then you need to remind the Developers if that is the case to allow Disc Priest to que as DPS, and massively increase their damage output so as to be comparable to Hunters, Warlocks, and Mages. Clearly they allowed a game-breaking bug to linger for all of BFA if what you say is accurate.
They already are a tank spec if you PvP.
Believe me, nothing holds the aggro of basically the entire enemy team better than a Shadow Priest.

I’m down with this!
I already out DPS shadow players in my m+ runs, they just need to tune up my single target a bit and aura adjust dps/atonement in raid.
Honestly if they refuse to fix Shadow Priests, and want to drag the spec on another 2 year experiment (that we all know the outcome of), I would be fine with Discipline becoming our new DPS Tree. People have wanted a Holy DPS spec for a while. Mainly because Shadow is a polished piece of you-know-what, but I digress.

That is the stupidest post I’ve ever seen here.
Even more stupid than high elves.

Shadow priest is certainly not the favorite child.
