Make rdf but make it realm wide not cross realm

alot of people are still missing the point. realm wide prio, then cross realm if its not able to find a group. also a toggle to switch back and forth.

Uneven amounts of tanks and healers does not help your argument in the scenario described. Just as some realms might have more tanks and healers queuing at a given time then other realms will have fewer. The average wait time for players will be the same. The problem isn’t fixed unless you’re enticing more tanks and healers to queue than would otherwise.

Yes, it does help my argument. In the eventuality, cross-realm RDF is implemented, the average wait time for a dungeon will definitely be shorter because more people would feel less reticent to queue for dungeons due to it being easily accessible. They won’t have to manually look for dungeons, nor travel to them.

And like you said, whenever the queue is too long. This will help out reduce the time.

Admittedly the call to arms system of providing tanks and healers with bonus gold /random loot bag for queuing might help with this

Whereas right now there’s nothing helping to reduce the wait. Or to incentivize people to queue other than the dungeon rewards themself, especially after they are done with their daily 1 queue.

Also, I have a feeling that you know for a fact that cross-realm-RDF is a way better system than what we have right now. You probably just believe in the absurdity of the “it will ruin the community or something” argument which is why you are so adamantly standing against its implementation.

Right, it was blatant he was putting words in your mouth. They don’t much to stand on to oppose the implementation of RDF.

They are trying whatever they can to fight the implementation of RDF. And, they know that most people don’t like LFR. So, they are trying to amalgamate RDF and LFR, hoping to get more people to stand against RDF getting implemented.

But like you said, you only want RDF. I only want RDF too. And, that’s that.

A reasonable compromise is trying to prioritize same realm and then going cross realm if it can’t find a same realm group in a reasonable amount of time.

But tanks aren’t going to be in the cross realm pool because they have instaqueues. This priority system would be a total failure for dps on low pop realms.

I used to run 5 mans more often on my Healer when RDF was implemented because it was so easy to get in a group that way.
I could keep farming or crafting or doing dailies until it popped.

I believe having RDF would increase the amount of Tanks and Healers queueing.
Would it be offset by more DPS also queueing ? I’m not sure, those might cancel each other out.

I’d be in favor of look same realm first then go to cross realm if you haven’t found a group within say 20 minutes.

I had no clue it wasn’t realm only, so that’s what I was expecting from the get go. I know in later expansions cross realm became a thing, but I skipped Cata, so didn’t touch it again till MoP.

However it’s fine, I don’t really care. I just want it to exist. The current system is terrible.

Realm only is nice for building connections as well. Then maybe it could also use our ignore/block list when searching so we’re able to avoid particularly troublesome players we run into.
