Could the people running Classic please make posts here on the official forums about important topics like ‘Boosts being disabled for the night’ please? It would only make sense
I recently learned of this news (after checking the forums to see if there were any updates on the boosts) from a screenshot posted in discord of some game producer’s personal Twitter post. Why can’t they also log into the official forums and make this post here as well?

Because they know what they did is shady as hell. Simple as that.

It is very unprofessional that the official forums isn’t the point of first contact. It comes across as apathy and disrespect. It looks like they don’t even believe in their own product, a vote of no confidence.

It’s actually unacceptable. We pay for the game. We pay for them to update us about the game. We do not pay them to post said updates about the game on a third party website.

I agree. Also when they do stuff to the game and the only way to know is to check wowhead or if you’re subbed to a youtube wow player.
Your post screams 2023 to me. Screams!
imagine your boss gives out important updates for your job on his personal facebook instead of sending out an email

All posts like this accomplish is we stop getting twitter posts.
You chose to play bud. They don’t owe you anything, how are you guys so entitled lmao.
I get the frustration, I do, but understand the difference between an “official” Blizzard announcement, and some guy just posting to his twitter. There’s bureaucracy at play (and it’s bullcrap) when it comes to any kind of actual announcement.
Just find his Twitter and monitor it.
If you think Legal is going to allow a small team of over-caffeinated code monkeys make official statements on behalf of the world’s 4th largest company you’re out of your mind lol

The person posting on X is not going it from an official account. There is probably some communications pipeline they have to go through to post on the forums some corporate red tape BS so he is communicating in a way he can that is not considered an official blizzard communication.
But he de facto IS making an official Blizzard communication when it is relied upon by the userbase. I am surprised they don’t crack down on the posts honestly. My company has a policy against posting any company business on X and we are much, much smaller.
Yeah me too. But I am happy we are getting something.
