Yeah, my ignore list already has 20 people on it after the first night. If I wanted to listen to nonstop politics being spewed by ignorant people I’d open my facebook app. Extremely obnoxious.

its americans on either side of the spectrum bringing up “biden” or “trump” with every last little thing that’s not related to politics in the slightest. Craps so tiring seeing in every unmoderated game, mentally unwell muricans with their political figures living in their heads 24/7.

If enough people agree with you, then like you, they should be reporting those players. The threshold to trigger a warning, and ultimately an automated 10-day chat suspension does not appear to be very high.
To me, this suggests that either people don’t know that they can right-click report, or they simply don’t care enough to, which would imply that most people don’t care.
unfortunately all the dregs of society are still activated 
after a few months of this presidency though, they will start to get bored

Unfortunately and I certainly hope you’re right. I was slightly dismayed at how pervasive the politics chatter was last night. Seemed to not matter too much how many people I ignored, there was always another person. That said, I somehow lucked out, accepted an auto-invite to a guild and these folks actually seem awesome. No politics chatter, just talking about WoW.
In an MMO, other people might play that you might not agree with. Some people enjoy the social aspect of talking politics. Perhaps MMOs aren’t for you.
Move your eyeballs a fraction of a millimeter and you don’t have to worry about chat
Then what? Ban talking about sports? Entertainment? Ignore is your friend.
