It would be cool if some mogs had unique effects on the area surrounding players. For example:
- Some foot appearances cause flaming footsteps/bubbling poison/flower growth/cracked ground/etc.
- Some armor pieces causing apparitions/weather effects/etc. around characters.
- Some appearances causing death/resurrection effects, like explosions/cloudbursts/flame pillers/leaf burst/etc.
- Weapons that cause things like combustion/wind flurries/bug swarms/crashing water/ etc. around enemies randomly upon striking, purely for cosmetics and don’t actually do anything other than that.
On one hand it would certainly cause performance issues if players had their particle density, projected textures, etc. turned up too high, but for those of us that have the hardware for it, it would be pretty sweet.
