Make loot scamming a bannable offense

Not always the case. Most people farm from dire maul and pay naxx trash farmers for the epic trash drops so those arent gold sellers. They are just selling items in the game and people pay gold.

that’s not surprising given how incredibly loose your definition of a “loot scammer” is

It’s not the price thats the scam. I just told you.
It’s the bidding part where they don’t want it and do it to increase the pot.

I just explained it. Through recordings or screenshots.

This is a private matter between groups and guilds. Go away with this.

It’s not a “you” problem. Thats like saying its a you problem if someone ninja.

YES THEY DO.

Loot scamming falls under thesame rules as ninja loot scamming.

If it was a private matter payo shouldnt of been banned but he was.

No it’s not. The person bidding up is still within the rules of the system. There’s no requirement to actually want the item. OP doesn’t like the rules but joined anyway, so it’s on him.

No. bidding means you need to want the item. You can’t bid on a house you don’t want or you go to jail.

Blizzard doesn’t accept screenshots and I seriously doubt they are going to accept recordings either. It has to be on their chat. Plus what the heck do you think will happen if they ban it. Is the behavior going to stop? Or are people just going to stop indicating why they bid.

Exactly. In their chat history.

And address the second part - is the behavior going to stop. In fact, if they ban it, more people will probably do this given how people are.

Ma’am, this is a Fuddruckers.

This is why I don’t play classic wow and also why I never want master looter back lol.

Less have been ninja looting ever since they started adding serious punishment. The more serious the punishment. The less occurrence and more fear. Games have no room for scammers and ninja looters.

Because it is clear if someone rolls ‘x’ and they didn’t get the gear.

Nothing at all is clear and open about people’s motivates when they bid.

Exactly…

And to that point, if they win the bid and shard it…As long as they pay the bill, who cares?

That is the way bidding works.

Thats an excuse. You have their chat history
And blizzard would ban gold sellers if their chat history explained it.

/And end thread

Its a scam. Ban time.

Let us know how that works out for you, lol.

I’ve now checked four times to make sure I’m not reading the Classic forum, and I’m not. Still not sure why this thread exists.

ML didn’t go away because scamming was common

it went away because for every genuine loot scam there were 1,000 idiots submitting tickets because they didn’t get “their” loot
