If there is evidence showing someone bidding on items they don’t want in a gdkp or bidding only to increase the pot, such as screenshots of them saying they don’t want the item or videos of them saying to bid up someone while doing it not because they want the item but because they want to increase the pot, make it a 1 month bannable offense. In 40 man gdkp you don’t even know when you are being bid up. It’s only until you win the item that you are told. He didn’t even need the item. This is no different to scamming.

If you’re getting bid up stop bidding. The item is only worth what you’re willing to pay for it.

Regardless, you kept bidding. That shows the item was worth that amount of gold to you. No scam here. If you feel you’re paying too much stop bidding and leave someone else with the bill.

Retail WoW solved this by scattering members throughout every server so nobody is ever on the same server and can trade gold to one another.
Thats not what I’m talking about.
The scam is not that an item worth 10k gold was bid to 50k.
The scam was the person BIDDING ON AN ITEM THEY DONT WANT.
Even if they pay for it with gold. They dont want it. They arent going to use it and its going to rot in their bag and are solely only bidding to increase the pot. They dont want the item. They just want a pot increase.
While finding out at the end so there is a 100% chance you wont know the person didn’t need it.
And you’ll only know after you were scammed.
Blizzard should hand bans to these people
because it isn’t any difference to any other scam which will get you banned.
take it up with your guild. this has nothing to do with blizzard

And if they win, but don’t have the gold to waste on it they’ll be blacklisted.
Maybe if you cast moar dotz you wouldn’t have gotten -50dkp and could have won the bid.
Then they wasted a bunch of DKP and won’t be able to bid next time.
