Make "Lighter Than Air" permanent?

With Dracthyr race being available for other classes (with perma glide) and DH having the class ability of double jump and perma glide, I do not see why monks cannot permanently have lighter than air buff? It makes sense for their class lore right? Not to mention reduced fall damage, which was given as a racial to pandas for some reason.

It’s essentially a mini Fel Rush. That would be so incredibly overtuned theres no way that’d “fly”.

honestly i agree with this, while i still consider “lighter than air” a really disappointing talent as a capstone, i really like it, but is not possible to take it always, maybe instead of making it perma, it should be in at the begging of the talents, maybe below Tiger’s Lust, i dont think it’s broken at least not for pve, and really doesnt make monks more usefull at least for WW it’s like whatever but for mw i think it’s big having it for extra mobility

I think it’s worthy of being baked into roll. Though not the most necessary thing.

Delete Jade Walk. Put Lighter Than Air where Jade Walk used to be. Make new actually good capstone in Lighter Than Air’s place. Everyone wins.

Light than air is my favourite thing this entire expac.

I can finally avoid fall damage without needing gliders or toys. I’m able to jump over gaps in dungeons like GB. Knockbacks are easy to deal with, and “outplaying” them feels fun.

When I FSK’d off the edge in Aar-Kara I managed to dash back to safety and felt like I’d won a million dollars. During the soak the orb week of M+ on SoB I ran around on the water and stopped orbs hitting the tentacles from behind. The fact that our water-walking doesn’t fade on dmg is amazing even if it only last 5 seconds.

I have plenty more examples, and that’s not even talking about the shenanigans in PvP.

The QoL Lighter than air single-handedly brings is just that incredible. If any Blizz dev ever reads this for the love of all that is good in the world know this, Lighter than air is one of the biggest W’s for monk in a long time.

(Probably shouldn’t be a capstone though)

Hopefully they keep lighter than air going forward.

it’s good fun.

I love it for BrM. Being able to roll out of a ground aoe and then just jump right back on target is great. It might not seem like a lot, but the amount of times I’ve been able to roll out, avoid damage, jump back in and leg sweep aoe stun the pack of mobs has been invaluable. Great ability.

I just had a +7 where the healer dispelled a DPS right on top of me, but I had rolled less than 5 seconds before.

Managed to BARELY catch it in time and I have never been so proud of myself, had 2 minutes on the timer on last tentacle and it would’ve bricked my key.

Negating knockback for tankbuster on Dawnbreaker, Ansurek, saving yourself from your own idiocy like I did, it is endlessly useful.

This talent is an absolute lifesaver.

I like it, but I’d rather have Water Roll back.

oh, i wanted to change my suggestion to this actually. Remove the extra step of pressing jump after roll and instead just merge into the roll. That would be an ideal solution to be honest, now that dracthyr races are available for other classes, i dont think it would create that much advantage and for crying out loud, this is what monks were supposed to be in the first place.

As long as they remove it as a capstone and put it somewhere else. It’s a fun talent and I enjoy it… But compared to other classes (like DK slappy hands) it feels very weak.

Compare monk Tree versus any other class. Monk Keystone are so underwelming :frowning:
