A daily lockout for heroics from MoP is …disheartening. I was looking forward to the old scholo farm but …now having to farm heroic once a day NEW scholo for a chance at the rare and hoping it even drops the toy needed for unlocking old scholo is …not… great.

The first step to unlocking old Scholomance is to have someone in your group with the
Krastinov’s Bag of Horrors toy, obtained from Doctor Theolen Krastinov, a rare spawn in the new Scholomance. You do not need to have the toy yourself, but you must have someone with you who has the toy in order to start the secret.

You should be able to do it on different characters. The toy is account-wide.

Ive tried asking or making groups, but people are charging outrageous amounts of gold for taking them along unfortunately, as expected.

Well that just sucks. 
UPDATE: I did finally get him to spawn and he dropped the toy, it took 16 runs one per toon. My friend is past 20 currently.

Yeah, locking this behind a rare spawn is kind of annoying, I’ve run it on all my characters that are able to enter and haven’t seen him, I was really looking forward to unlocking scholo and naxx stuff but now I have to this daily till I see the toy. Not a great decision on blizz’s part.

Ran it on 12 alts tonight, no Krastinov. I guess back to the grind tomorrow. This is just annoying.

Just park there your 12+ alts and repeat it over and over.
