Make it reach Blizzard

I’ve got no issues with this idea.

The only reason I can really think of that people wouldn’t like this is because they got something awesome and would be happier if no one could get it anymore.

I can’t relate to this position, but I do understand it.

I could see exceptions for pvp/aotc mounts.

No one is asking for it to be a mailbox thing though? For the mage tower specifically it should just work as it did because its back. When people ask me about the mage tower skins its always “that looks cool how did you get it?” and I have to awkwardly tell them its not in the game anymore.

Read the mailbox comment. Saw the fem Kaldorei avatar. Assumptions were made. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

its pixels. when the servers shut down, what value will those bring? zero

they should be made available again and im someone who has unlocked two of them

there’s no point in not reprinting after 10+ yrs after their existence came out. after 10 yrs the rarity doesn’t mean anything after that… you can try to say we want to keep it “rare” but not everyone had the chance so they should circle back every so often.

The countless topics asking for all of these items to come back via Twitch/Prime drops or the Trading Post say something else.

Granted its a broad topic but most of the time I see these topics asking for the source and the item back. And even then from twitch prime and trading post its a world of a difference then an anniversary style box that just has every item they removed from the game in it. Its so ridiculous a strawman I can’t see it as a serious argument in any case.

Hard disagree. Do something to be proud of in real life and this sort of stuff will matter less to you in the future.

If it doesn’t matter then there’s no reason to demand stuff to come back, I guess. This argument can be made in both directions.

Objectively wrong, all relevant experts agree.

Okay but why? Why does the argument not work in both directions?

I keep seeing the, “They are pixels they don’t matter so your shouldn’t care!”.

Then why do they matter to you?
I’m genuinely curious because that doesn’t make sense.

Because all the peer-reviewed studies prove it. Trust the science.

??
So your argument is, “just trust me on this, I saw some stuff”. ??

What an odd thing to say to prove your point.

The Topic of having Quests/Activties/Events that sometimes awarded specialty items has recently come up within the Community Council.

For those who wish to see the discourse that occured between myself and Reconbravo you can read it starting at: 2024 Roadmap - #17 by Phenomenon-hydraxis

As denoted by my responses, I am for having removed content/activites/questlines/events returned to the game. Mostly because of how old this game itself is, there are individuals out there that could be playing this game that were so young when the items/events/activites/questlines were out they simply could not play and because of this fact they are now forever barred from getting those items no matter how much they wish they could.

Edit: We, as the council, have also had the discussion here as well: Removed Content

Always with the ad hominem. Do 1/10 of what I’ve done and then come back, son.

Because it moves the game in a better direction, and I get that by itself that statement means nothing so I’ll elaborate. Having content that is localized to the expansion it is in means that we have access to a ton of content in wow, but a significant chunk of it is just gone after its relevancy period, just outright removed. Its not a efficient use of resources by any stretch, and over time it erodes the game itself though it will always be a side issue. If blizzard could build content in the future that is future proofed and also looked back on older content that they already have work done on and can make easier then just making something new from the ether its win win. One of wow’s bigger strengths is that it is incredibly long lived for a video game and blizzard tapping into that resource while still making new content is for the betterment of the game as a whole.

In essence, one side of it is I want this aspect of the game to change for various reasons some of them self interested, and the other side is “this is fine as is”.

Also having the argument about “what matters” enters subjective nondiscussion territory where nothing constructive will be said. The pixels matter as much as the viewer thinks they matter. In an argument they matter as much as it helps the argument lol.

I already got out of bed and acted important on the internet today, we’re neck in neck, kid.

Design by poll is a terrible way to make a game.

Just because a lot of people want something doesn’t mean that something would be good.
