Title. I was a huge fan of SOD going into all the phases, although I agree the change to Phase 3 was kind of weak, 20 man raids did ok as we were able to accrue some top guys. But with the transition to Phase 4 and losing more raiders, it’s genuinely miserable to try and pug people on even the highest population servers.
I think at the very least having Heat 1 be tailored to 10 man would allow smaller guilds such as myself, to accrue the requisite gear to attempt the higher heats, and transition seamlessly to 20mans for heat 2 and heat 3. This feels like a good way to naturally progress guilds, you start a 10man, get some gear, join another 10 man to attempt higher difficulties, if you mesh well maybe group together and reform to a new 20man guild.
Yall are literally just asking for retail at this point

I get what you mean but SOD started with 10 man raids, so it was already sort of retail-like before.
I was trying to strike a compromise but honestly if it were up to me I’d make either all the heats 10man or I’d actually make Heat 3 10 man only

once ppl are geared you could clear it with 10 ppl… maybe not you but ppl could

Nah just make it soloable while also dropping the same amount of loot as it does now. And on an hourly reset.
They were leveling dungeons disguised as raids.
UBRS is also a 10-man “raid” - it’s a day 1 dungeon.

This is a bad idea. Heat 1 should be 40 players.
Maybe make heat 0 with one less piece of loot for 10 people, but other than that I dont feel its necessary.
I sort of regret typing this request for Heat 1. I was trying to align with peoples expectations but personally I think the hardest difficulties should require LESS people. So frankly Heat 3 should be 10 people and the real challenge.
Please someone stop this man from trying to make SoD into retail!
SoD is for us who want a taste of the old vanilla wow. It’s NOT retail. I miss the old 40 man raids. 20 man MC is a compromise. Now you want it to be 10 man? This isn’t UBRS…
