Make elemental shaman fun

Elemental shamans feel very clunky and takes to long to build up maelstrom energy.

My solution make all the shock spells work with mana and using shock spells generates maelstrom for lava blast.

The way it currently is only lightening bolt generates maelstrom and it takes too long to build up.

I see you aren’t familiar with the IF build? I barely cast LB with the IF build which is currently the strongest build AFAIK. After Echos gutting.

Elemental has a [very] small buildup, depending on your talents. Certainly not much though, especially if you start out with something like Stormkeeper.

To me, Elemental had always held one of the most fluid playstyles in the game. Yes, since them adding silly things like flame shock cooldowns and overall GCD changes, it’s worse than it was, but still not bad at all.

Plus, we look cool doing what we do. Lava burst animation is still top notch :slight_smile:

Is not everyone’s cup o’ tea, mind, but that’s why they also gave us a melee off-spec. Maybe try it out?

I think you just need to sit at a target dummy. Elemental feels good right now and is pretty strong. As for clunky, if your new to it I totally see you feeling that way but once you get it and you start spell weaving between spells its pretty fun.

I wish ya posted this on your shaman so we could see if your just running bad traits or bad stats.

Ele rocks imo. Just started a Dark Iron and I’m level 32 or so. I’ve leveled one Ele before this one.

Except lava burst also generate maelstrom and it has short CD and is constantly getting reset?

With icefury you almost never have have time to cast lightning bolt.

I feel Elemental is in a pretty good spot right now. If you use Icefury, it does take a bit getting used to, but once you have your rotation figured out, you’re pretty much set.

Thanks for all the replies maybe I need to look at the talents my shaman has.

Coming from playing my mage the shaman felt slowwwww.

Look for azerite with ignatious potential. Thats the most important trait.
