I’d definitely like to see these be playable if next xpac is dragon isles. I’d definitely like a big humanoid half-dragon, half-human thing to play as. We’ve encountered them before and it would fit the expansion well (assuming its Dragon Isles).

Why does every mob in the game have to become a playable race/class? This would not fit without some heavy duty shoehorning.
I just can’t support any more new allied or monster races in a world where murlocs are still not playabe as a race.
Murlocs first then you can add whatever else you want. Good luck with your idea and have a great weekend.

Heavy duty shoe horning? Not really. If the next xpac is the Dragon isles they would fit very easily. Its also a race we’ve ran into already. Murlock agenda mafia. I’m onto you.
I mean… what faction would Murlocs fit in? They eat other sentient races, I’m sure even the Horde would not want them… (if forbidding the Darkspear from cannibalism is any indicator, super awkward with the Forsaken like RIGHT THERE though… doing the same thing)

Race does not look remotely like it could be playable, mainly because they’re relatively huge to the player and would need two entirely new models for males and females, the latter of which drakonids only have in Hearthstone. Lorewise, the dragonflights have no reason to deplete their numbers even further by conscripting members to the Alliance and Horde.
The community is hellbent on demanding more and more freedom of customization, which includes making the game’s several dozen NPC races playable regardless of how popular they’d be if they actually were.
Give Alliance the dragons and Horde Arrakoa.
They would be the second neutral faction added in like the Pandaren, and it would work.

Since I was right about the Dragon themed expansion, Drakonid could be a possibility.
