Make double time baseline

Why do we have to choose between a stun or mobility when we desperately need both?

I’m not sure saying warrior desperately needs mobility is accurate.

One or the other baseline would be nice, sure. But go play death knight and tell me warrior mobility is bad.

Meh, I’d say DK and warrior mobility are about equal.

Death Grip is about equal to Charge, and while Wraith Walk is definitely no Heroic Leap, Death’s Advance is really nice.

Now pallies, pallies definitely have garbage mobility.

But screw them, any class that can 2 shot you with something like Templar’s Verdict can do without mobility.

A warrior with double time and bounding stride is pretty mobile. Without them I wouldn’t say we’re ā€˜desperate’ but I don’t really feel like mobility is a defining strength anymore. Untalented, I feel distinctly average in the mobility department.

Personally I agree double time should be baseline. I think mobility should be one of the warrior selling points, before talenting into it. But I’ll be the first to admit I’m largely going off of how it feels to play, as opposed to any empirical analysis of every class’s mobility tools.

Meh, I’ve kinda gotten over this concept. Way back in the day, ferals got pitched by blizz as having ā€œmobility as a strength.ā€ Then that baton got passed, almost verbatim, to monks. Now to demon hunters. So now most melee classes teleport around so much that it’s borderline meaningless as a feature. Of course the ranged classes all love this state of affairs so very much.

A DK doesn’t have as much mobility as a Warrior because of how difficult it is to get away from them. Being able to not be slowed below 70% movement speed, having Death Grip, a ranged slow, and more grants them more up time once they’ve reached their target. It’s going to be even more difficult to get away from a DK in Shadowlands if they decide to ā€œbuildā€ that way.

either doubletime or stormbolt should be baseline ye.

ditching your ONLY stun for double charge feels really bad.

if you end up getting the 3 charges heroic leap legendary boots maybe double time wont be as much of a must though.

I remember back in mists the feeling of blitzing around the battlefield was incredible. Oh baby, if we had that again it would be so sweet.

My main concern was always defensives (and we are getting spell reflect and ignore pain yay!).

I feel like warrior gets around very well with leap and charge. And with intervene coming if anything its going to get better.

Lack of baseline cc is noticeable though. I really want some type of ranged interrupt or silence. Its so nice being able to just look at a mob and Interrupt it without having to waddle your way over. Doubt it will happen though.

I completely agree. Storm bolt baseline would feel amazing.

Charge should stun like it used to.

Ah yes, let’s add more DRs.

Double Time is too much. A better more reasonable option is instead have Heroic Leap reduced to 30sec instead of the untalented 45sec move. Its more justifiable.

Crazy idea, bring a .5 sec root to charge or add a snare (the one i’d prefer most) to it and reduce Heroic Leap CD by 5-10 secs.

We don’t need two charges and heroic leap, but you can improve the stuff we already have.

Charge already has a 1sec root on it.

I would be fine with having Double Time removed all together and just have charge be on a 15s cooldown or something like that. Making Double Time or Storm Bolt baseline would just have Warrior’s pick whichever one was left as a talent. Furthermore, Blizzard would also have to come up with a new talent that would be considered as another competitive option to place in that row, which that row already struggles to have.

Probably just never notice it in PvP since so many roots.
