This was done for paladins, do it for dk’s.
What does this mean? It drops at ya feet?
Pretty much???
Like.. yellow?
Art of War causes Blade of Justice to cast Consecration at the target’s location.
The limit on Consecration does not apply to this effect.
They can easily attach this to Putrefy.
If anything like this ever happens PLEASE PLEASE make it Optional, not something that replaces my ability to place DnD manually.
I prefer to place DnD myself whether it be for the slow from Grip of the Dead or just to knock someone out of stealth with an ability I can actually use without a target.
I think a large portion of people just dont like using DnD in PvE at all. Its fairly restrictive. I think they liked earlier in the season where we didnt use it. So perhaps we can go back to how it WAS.
Yes, the fact they reintroduced for unholy is mind boggling to me. For the love of god make it so you can target mobs with it like earthquake. Make it act like the horseman one. Anything!
Nah this would be a nerf.
It just needs to have its own GCD like Death Charge does and it wouldn’t feel bad.
This would be amazing and thematic.
The only time I truly loved DnD was during Shadowlands. The fae covenant changing it to a main stat leech and dmg debuff was beautiful. Idk what it was like in PvE, but it felt really good to use in PvP.
I still use it all the time now of course, but it’s mostly for the slow or revealing stealths like Tsalera mentioned above. Which is…. Nice…. But ugh, I wish they had given that as a dual-node option with the Venthyr skill they re-added.
Can’t you just [@player] macro it to drop at your feet?
You can, I do that. Problem is it still costs a GCD unlike blizz’s poster boy.
And if tank moves pull out of DND we lose the CDR.
IMO it shouldn’t be in the spec tree but an optional talent in the class tree; either keep it the way it is, or make it work like remorseless winter. That way BDK doesn’t lose the ability to have control of placement.
I don’t know why some of you are hell bent on making it drop at targets location when you can just macro it to drop at cursor location or at your feet.
Because it’s highly convenient, easier, prevents missclicks, weird line of sight placements and better quality of life. I love quality of life changes. Once again though it’s just infuriating they brought it back at all and made it mandatory in m+ without changing it’s dumb GCD cost or adding improvements.
Maybe remove dnd and replace and bring back unholy blight. Re work the talent so its procs help reduced our putrefy spell depending on mobs hit or something or sorts
I macro mine at mouse curser with mouse over. But I’m blood not unholy so I use it
Yeah for a spec that already has a lot of empty-feeling GCDs, adding DnD back was a very bad decision. Having to waste multiple GCDs during cooldowns to enable more uses of an ability that’s still not super exciting (Putrefy) is an indicator of bad design.
I like this idea too, assuming UB is attached to DT again. It could even be something like: During DT/UB the Putrefy CDR from Harbinger of Doom is increased to 10-15s, so you’re getting a Putrefy charge every 2-3 SS.
Another disease would also help DT a little bit, which is a disgrace of a CD right now.
If they want to be really thematic make it so the ghoul explosion itself drops a DnD. Solves a few things. DnD no longer a button you worry about, placement sorted, GCD solved, talent name makes good sense (minor but still), there will always be a charge to regenerate. Acts a bit more like it does for pala. Spitballing but you get the idea.
That’s fine too.
Really any of the alternatives are fine as long as we don’t actually have to press DnD outside of utility. It is a chit button and no one enjoys having it in the damage rotation.
