We are officially seven weeks into Firelands. My guild (25 man) has killed 24 Heroic bosses and we have seen a grand total of 3 Crystallized Firestones. We have almost completed more legendary staves than we have gotten Crystallized Firestones. With there only being 7 bosses and us progging Ragnaros Crystallized Firestones are very quickly becoming one of the few items anyone still needs.
Go for off pieces.
Also if you’re asking for 100% drop rate the rate at which it’ll become useless is going to go up x10.
The drop rate could be increased by 10% which would be fine…but 100% is too much.
I do agree that 100% might be too high; however, 10% is also too low. I think 50% chance would be a good compromise. That nets ~3 per lockout. Which I think is fair.
Wait till Dragon soul when theyre put on the H+ vendor.

Nothing wrong with 100%, there are only a couple pieces people can even use. It’s not like 1 character can get kitted completely from firestones. There really isn’t a point in them being 10% drop rate - or w.e it is, pretty sure I read on wowhead it’s 10%.
Funny how 10m’s are having the exact opposite issue. We’ve got 0 staffs but practically no use for these damn firestones at this point. We’re missing a lot of key pieces of loot that the firestones are taking the place of though, of course…

i think the only thing they really need is to be a bonus drop instead of taking the place of regular loot, whether or not they get a drop rate buff

10m actively gets less loot than 25m.
2.5 x 2 does not = 6.
Firestone 100% drop would fill slots that we’re lacking for sure, inb4 the “25m is harder” argument - there have already been top guilds to come out and say that 10 + 25m are comparable in difficulty having done them both, (how different bosses/mechanics need to be dealt with of course). Not sure why 10m is getting the SHAFT and not the staffffff 
25m gets 5-6, not always 6. Drop rates were buffed back in 2011 for 25m to incentivize that mode because 10m basically killed it back in the day. That won’t change, and neither will 10m drop rates. 10m already has enough of an advantage in both roster/recruiting ease and its substantially lower difficulty. There’s no debate here, Blizzard already settled it back then.
Having Crystallized Firestone be a separate drop means that it won’t screw over 10m’s drops, and give it a better chance to drop for 25m (since it seems to have an abnormally low drop rate in this mode).
This post isn’t about the staff. It’s about firestones. 10m already got its staff acquisition buffed too.

The issue is the 25m drop rate. I’ve only seen like 3 total in 25m. Did 10m this week since it’s the holiday and we got 3 in one run…
